kosydar 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I remember reading an article a year or so ago with the Detroit equipment manager. He was talking about how of all the players who use Easton gloves on Detroit, all of them were custom and different from each other. So I doubt that Datsyuk's are retail. Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 datsyuk's are Z-Airs, Kovy's are synergys I'm not sure but I would say Kovy's gloves on 1st pic are Z-airs but not on the 2nd pic...
stix04 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 1st pic are synergys, second pic idk because the pick looks old judging by the stick he's using, so it may be a top end easton glove from last year?
PH_Hockey2 4 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I think that we too can get those gloves as a custom glove order from Easton. At work we have the Easton catalog and I saw them under custom glove options.
#94 3 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 They are just Pro Stock Air gloves with Z-Air bladders in them which is why they have Z-Air stitched on the back of the wrist.I believe EastWest hockey had tons of the exact gloves in NYR and Montreal colors in both nylon and leather. Look on eBay for EastWest Hockey. Go to their eBay store and if they arn't in the store give them a call. The number should be at their eBay store site. The second pic is newer than the first.I always thought the Synergy gloves had that X pattern across the back rolls.

JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 They're both Z-Airs. The newer ones have the SyNergy logo but they are custom.
MoCorleone 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 i have the exact same gloves that kovalev has in the first picture. they're easton nylon airs w/ the z-air logo. mine were made for tomas kloucek, but he was traded before he got to use them. best gloves i've ever used. by far the lightest, most comfortable gloves i've had by a large margin. interestingly, i tried on the actual gloves that kovalev is wearing in the first picture. they say nedved on the cuffs and the guys over at the meisay group in new jersey, who are licensed to get all NY Rangers used equiptment, had those exact ones in stock. they were asking $275 for them because kovalev had used them

Mooby 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 As #94 stated, Eastwesthockey in San Carlos, CA has those gloves in their shop and ebay store. I bought a 14" Rangers gloves from them a while ago. Just figure out what length you want the cuff. The sizes they show are actually the cuffs. Their 13" glove is a shorter cuff glove, the 14" is the standard cuff, and the 15" is the longer cuff. There's no difference between the sizes except for the cuffs. They are light and have the thin pro palm. The gloves don't have any air bladders in them making them lighter. They are basically a lighter vinyl or leather version of the Ultra Lite Pros from the pre wrist wrap era but made in Canada and it has the Synergy logo on them. #94 3 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Yes, Datsyuk's are nylon.Listen, you can get the same exact gloves, in your color, in nylon, at EastWest Hockey. Order the 13" NYR or Montreal model and you're set.

Hey #94, this is exactly what I want, but do they have 14ÂÂÂÂ inches gloves like I want? And another question : Do eastwesthockey have an online shopping website or I need to call them? GekigangarIII 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Datsyuk's gloves are Z-Airs. You can see the Z on his glove in that picture. They are pro-stock airs. Easton always puts the label of their highest-tier product line on the cuffs of their prostock gloves (as a retail selling point). Looks like it works ;)I've had a couple pairs of easton prostock airs (and real z-airs like Sakic's), in both nylon and PU, both were geat gloves.

#94 3 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Call them and ask for whatever you want. They will have the colors you want in nylon, not sure if they will have 13" (which is just a 14" with a shorter cuff, as previously stated).
Karly14 21 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 not that this has anything to do with the topic, but kovalev uses a really short stick. kovy you probably know this- how tall is it on him?
beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Isn't that Kovalev in his avatar or am I sorely mistaken and it's just Kovy Ribs Fedo? Looks like it goes up to his shoulders if it is Kovalev...
