The funny thing is the way members have been banned or prevented from joining EMB makes this illegal in several states.

But they'd probably send it to the return adderess from the toys you send. But what toys would you send? And what happens if GURU doesn't like the toys you send.

Well unless you send them double-enders or something like that, I don't see what the problem would be. As for the address, that'd be what I would hope/assume Guru does but it seems those have asked about having invalid addresses are told they're SOL.

I'm hoping Guru does that. He seems like a good guy. I remember last time this went down, I didn't enter my shipping address when I registered, so I just wrote it on a piece of paper and sent it in the package and everything went smoothly.

They did a toydrive in the past. I didn't participate but I know than another Euro member (#17 of CB from Finnland) participated and Easton would just not send him the promised stick. It was only after a long hassle and use of his CB influence that #17 got his stick. Thus, as a Euro member I'd be hesitant to participate.

For the sake of donation, this is a really great thing to participate in. However, judging from past toy drives, you'll still be spending $75 USD + a lot of cash for shipping for a stick that might not even suit you. I don't know if they're giving out retail models but the past toy drive sticks were all pro stocks and some people were getting 110 flex sticks with a wacked out pattern/lie.

I know some of you guys are young and don't have a lot of money so if you're going in it for the stick then be wary that you're still dropping a good chunk of change for something that might be detrimental to your game. I guess there's the ebay option too if it doesn't work out but that's just adding more hassle for yourself. If you're participating for the sole sake of helping out those kids then by all means go for it. Helping out a charity is always good and kudos to you.

Thanks for sharing, I have been thinking of doing this but then Guru said there's no way to change the info in the database and it's several years since I signed up for the board and the info there isn't accurate anymore. So I was kinda bummed about that, but now when you said this about #17 having to go through so much trouble (and that it'd probably happen again to us poor Euro members) made me think it's fine if my info isn't correct anymore as I wouldn't join this toy drive anyway then.

We're the majority of the sticks given pro stock? Last time I asked for a Modano 110 flex Grip and I got exactly that. I don't know the particulars about Markku's problem, but if I remember correctly, it was a US resident only thing and they made an exception for him. Could be wrong though, I just remember some Canadians bitching about not being able to participate.

We COULD...but going by that three of the Mods have been banned from posting on EMB (me being one of them), I highly doubt it'd go over real well.

I don't think so, maybe try and buy things that have a price sticker on them? I'm gonna go buy some stuff tomorrow and send it out, it better make it there by the 15th.
