4 roll style glove comparison

Recommended Posts

I currently use eq50's but they are getting worn out, so I'm thinking about Bauer 4 roll pros, ccm 4 roll pros II or reebok 9000 4 rolls. Which one would have the best in your guys opinion. I tried searching before I made this thread btw. Thanks guys.

Bauer 4 roll pro, I got a pair last week and the feel amazing. I got them in a 14 and the fingers are slightly shorter than those on my supreme gloves in a 14,which is a good thing for me.

I tried on Ccm 4 rolls but the palm didn't seem as nice to me.

I have 13" Bauer 4 Rolls and theyre really nice but the fingers are short but when I'm on the ice I dont notice at all. I have 14" Reebok 7000 4 Rolls and theyre too big once I get on the ice and start playing and it drives me crazy. Quality of both are really good though imo but Im a noob. I'd like to pick up some discounted EQ50's to try.

Eagles are expensive and they don't really carry a good selection of them in Edmonton stores, the franchise are way too expensive and the last pair of warrior gloves I had (hitmen) barley lasted me one season.

I would give the Warrior Bonafide X a look. I picked up a pair a month or two ago and have been loving them. Nice feel for the stick through the palms, very comfortable and they felt broken in very quickly. They also have a great level of protection

Eagles can be found for reasonable prices; I got my PPF+ for around $100, when HM had one of its regular sales on them. Sometimes they turn up here in the Gear Exchange, too. I really like the durability of the MSH2 palm.

I actually have a pair of MIA's, I was assuming Franchises are the same quality of glove? My MIA's have lasted me the last 4 years and I only bought new gloves to change it up.

Also, I've seen Franchise Beer league editions that are custom made for half the price of regular ones in the past.

As far as I know, yes. I have a pair of MIAs as well and I feel they are the most comfortable glove I have ever put on. Warrior bought out MIA and from what I understand, the only thing that changed on the mia glove to the franchise was the name.

I have all the gloves mentioned here, hands down Franchise are the best around followed closely by Bauer pro 4 rolls.

CCM 4 roll pros, Sherwood T90's, Cal 52's and TPS R10's also deserve a mention.

You didn't like the Eagles at all?

My two cents:

I've had Easton 4rolls. Nice, but they were too big on me.

Then I bought a pair of Eagle x65i. They fit great and looked great and the palm was "interesting" in how soft it was. However, the stitching in three of the fingers came out within two uses, so those went back.

I ended up in Bauer Pro 4Roll gloves and have been using those for going on two years now. The palms still look great (I use white grip tape, and grip sticks) and I expect them to keep going for some time. I've washed them three or four times with oxyclean and they always come out fresh and ready to go. The only problem I've got is that I've got a small tear in the corner in the first roll. The plastic insert is now exposed there and had got bent, so it sticks out. I've thought about just pulling in the insert right out (I can get it out through the tear) but I thought I better leave it in as I'm not sure what the protection of the foam will be like without the insert. I'm not sure how the tear happened. I only wish I noticed it before the insert got bent. I probably could have patched it.

Anyway, I'm happy with the Bauers and would definitely buy them again.
