Need help identifying an Easton stick

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. First post here. I'm looking for some information about the model of Easton stick used by Adam Foote in the image at this URL (posting with a phone, so apologies for not attaching the image properly): http://2.cdn.nhle.com/avalanche/images/upload/2011/04/FooteThroughTheYearsFinal/15x_slide.jpg

I recently purchased an Foote autographed game-used blade, and this stick is an exact match. I'm trying to find a stick or shaft like this so I can put the blade on it.

Thanks in advance!

Yup, that is indeed a T-Flex shaft and blade. They are getting harder to come by. Any tapered shaft should be fine. If you want close to that older feel a Synthesis shaft would be a good bet. Easier to find than a T-Flex shaft.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'll keep my eye out for a T-Flex shaft or another that is a close approximation. I'm just trying to mount this blade on my wall, and it would look much better if it were attached to a stick.

The T-Flex is one of the harder shafts to come by now, not only because they haven't been made in 10 years, but because they weren't near as popular at the retail level as other Easton shafts of the time (like the Ultra Lite or Z-Bubble). Many manufacturers didn't even carry them because they didn't want to have to stock the necessary tapered blades as well.

Not to mention the guy that posted above your last response typically buys up every last one he can find anywhere in the US via online sales or other connections. :)

Thanks for the information.

The blade isn't tapered, so it looks like it might not be a T-Flex blade. Still, it looks a heck of a lot like the one in the photo, and I'd love to be able to track down a shaft that looks like the one in the photo. I'll keep my eyes out using some of the information you guys have given me.

Thanks.

Luckily, since this is being used to recreate a game-used stick and will be attached to a game-used blade with some wear, a like new stick probably wouldn't look as good as one with a little wear.

That said, I may have just found something that will work...
