If MSH had an annual award to name the top hockey brand. Who would it be this year. Your answer should be based on all aspects from equipment quality to availability to customer service. I know most of us who don't deal with customer service on a daily basis like people who work in shops might not be able to distinguish that part. Try to relate on this years experiances.

I chose TPS, because of there Xn10 technology and great pair of gloves with digitech palms I bought this year. The fact that the Response XN10 is priced well below the Stealth.

I also voted for TPS. Everything they make provides me with a line I have to decide on. I may not have alot of their stuff, but it is always a consideration for me. Other companies don't have that with me. Mission is close, but I don't like their gloves and I don't like the look of their skates.

CCM/RBK will most likely win this for 2005 with their new RBK line and all the changes they're making, but certainly not 2004. It's really hard for me to decide between all the companies up there, I own at least one piece of equipment from almost every company listed above, but my vote is going to Bauer/Nike, simply because they're the only company which makes skates that actually comfortably fit my weird feet. Runner up, i'd have to say is Mission.

We'll be doing awards for 2004, just as we did for 2003. We have been discussing products and brands among the moderators in an attempt to put together a comprehensive list.

It may be helpful to see some of the other peoples input as well though. Maybe help decide between close categories.

The plan is to recruit some of the member who have actually seen all of the products in question. Plus, none of us have a stake in any particular brand getting votes this time.

I didn't mean for this to be an "Official MSH Award" I wanted to see what people thought about brands' performances and experiances in the past year.

Great idea, I just wanted to let you guys know we were working on it again for this year. We never announced it.

I went Bauer/Nike just casue they new 8000 helmet is very nice, the 8090 is probably the best combination of lightness and and duribility in skates the hockey world has ever seen, and the XX seems to be a really nice stick as well. The Nike protective line is awesome and the skates are the only oens that fit me :P [lus they are very light as well. I hope they can keep it coming in the future

It was close for me between Bauer/Nike and Easton. Went with B/N though. As been said, people are raving about the 8000 helmet. I personally can vouch about the XX sticks.

Easton is constantly pushing the limit on low-profile protection and performance in their gear. All their materials rival any on the market, IMO.

Mission keeps making big strides to overcome their Roller Hockey "shadow"(if you can call it that).

I went with Bauer/Nike as well. Im a big fan of their 8000 series equipment line( shins, elbows and pants), except for the helmet(a little to big for my liking). I believe that they continue to push the limits with new technology, example even though it is for 05 but the XXX line of skates and gloves are very nice(a little biased as I should have the skates within a week unless my wife messed up the order for my Xmas present). So I choose them of the others. I would say that Mission and TPS would be in the running for second.

Everybody have a great holiday!

Just because you put a new logo on something, you would be the company of the year? I wish it was that easy....

There are positive aspects to nearly every company and their product lines.

Exactly....I don't think there is a company out that doesn't have one good product....If I didn't work for Mission, I would probably own some of them....As a matter of fact, I do. My goalie skates are Grafs...

Was it Inno that won the award last year? I guess they shouldn't be on the list this year since their not doing retail.

I went bauer b/c I like all of their equipment except the XX stick, love my 8000 helmet, and their XX/XXX gloves, their pants seem real nice to, and the 8090s are supposedly both light and durable.
