I took them to a shoe repair here in Vancouver. He had an industrial-type machine that was able to do the jobs that my mom's sewing machine was unable to do :D. For awhile I used the Sher-Wood "Traditions" and then I switched to the Rbk 5k. I liked the 5k for the chest and back protection but I did not like the big shoulder caps and found the mobility to be a bit restricting.
