Skate Sharpenings

i was wondering what kind of skate sharpening you guys get. whether its a custom radius or you never ask for a special radius. i have been fooling around with different kinds of radius' but i can never seem to get them perfect.

I prefer a 9ft radius and a 3/4 hollow but with an 11ft radius I prefer 5/8.

I'm on a 9ft and 5/8 (Ya I pussed out from my 1 3/8) I really like the 5/8, but will probably try Operation Paul Coffey or reverse Paul Coffey later in the year.

I think when I bought my skates they did them at 1/2" they said that was the happy medium, so I moved one notch sharper most recentely.

How do you know if you are getting a good sharpening?

9ft 3/4 for me. Only problem with 3/4 is the need for sharpening my skates about 3 times week.

Hey, I'm 5'11" and 220 lbs. Any recommendations on what I should get? I ususally just go with whatever but I was thinking of getting a custom radius.

dude, don't forget we're in hockey-desert Germany... dumbasses in hockey store know sh.. about sharpening, let alone about hollows and radiuses.
