Ipod vs Ipod Mini

confused over what i should get thought id get an opinion. ipod has more battery and songs and the mini is smaller and easier to carry, with less battery and less money. give me your input thanks

I think it's worth the 50 bucks for the 5x bigger hard drive. But I'm also a music freak who has about 4500 songs on his computer.

I decided to get a mini, mostly due to the size. If you're a music nut and have a ton of music like mik3, then obviously you should get the 20 gig for only 50 bucks more, it's definitely worth it in that case. However, I only have about 5 to 6 hundred songs on my computer and that filled up about half my mini. I figure if the day comes when I finally fill it up...well I don't need to listen to 1000 songs at once...I could always remove a few things. As far as battery life goes, I find that I get about 7-8 hours of continuous play time or so off a full charge on my mini, and that's plenty for almost everything.

I like my 20G because I didn't mind paying an extra 50 bucks for an EXTRA 16GB and plus the battery lasts longer.

Thats the stupidest iPod there is. I would never get that. I like how its small but theres no screen and you can't really choose what song you want to listen to.

I personally went with a 40gig, 'cause I download whole albums all the time. Currently I have about 4 entire albums queued in soulseek. But I know I'm not the majority. Some people just like to pick 2-3 songs from an album.

The size difference between a mini and a full size is retardedly small. I have a 4G 20 gig and my bro has a mini. They are virtually identical in size. Full size ipod is about as long as a typical CD, as thick as your index finger, and no more than 2.5 inches wide.

If your going for an ipod, you should be looking at storage. If you want size, you should be looking at a mp3 player. The Ipod mini is nice, but like said before, isnt much smaller than the regular version.

Yes you can. You can switch it to play the songs in the correct order, but there's still no screen.

Its not suppose to have a screen. The whole point is to have random songs come up. iTunes will recognize that its a shuffle, and then randomly pick 100 or so songs of yours (either by most listened to or by some other standard). Or you can add whatever songs you want. Its a nice price point flash player

With the shuffle you can also use itunes to set your playlist up in order. Though I guess I'd rather just have it shuffle instead of trying to remember 100 songs.

You can always look around to and get one of the ipods they use on display in stores. I got about 75 bux of my 20 gb ipod because it was used on dispay.

its sweet, its like the same as the ipod, they also came out with a mini one that is the same as the mini ipod they have the same memory and everything.

There was an article on the "Shuffle" in the USA Today I was reading in study hall today. Looks nice. I'm intrigued, for sure. Didn't mention a release date, though...Anybody else know anything I don't?

I might buy a Creative Zen micro over an ipod mini. Its bigger, has nice battery life WITH a removable battery and its also sexy.
