mcne0101 17 Report post Posted 6 hours ago Hey gang, My son is a peewee and I'd like to get him some cut resistant socks. I've noticed most of them are bulky and hard to put on, both of which would result in him not wearing them. Anyone have a recommendation on cut resistant socks that aren't overly hard to put on or as tick as a Christmas sweater? Thanks all!
xstartxtodayx 343 Report post Posted 6 hours ago I haven't used any personally but I know Arcane makes some, I have a pair of their normal socks and they're great, really well made (pretty sure Peter Forsberg is involved with the company somehow). I'd imagine all will be similarly hard to put on though since the kevlar material needed for the protection doesn't have much stretch. Many of the pro stock hockey socks I have come with a rear panel from ankle to just under the knee with a kevlar lining which I think is great, wish companies made retail hockey socks like this for all ages, definitely a lot easier, and if you pull them over the tendon guard you'll get some great protection. start_today 781 Report post Posted 5 hours ago Cut resistant skate socks, or hockey socks? For skate socks, cutshield just feels 100% like regular sports socks for me. They breath great, they go on easy, they have a bit of compression effect. For adults I 100% recommend these vs anything else. I was looking at cheaper options at the start of summer, and all of the other companies offerings have iffy reviews. No idea on sizing for kids. I’m 6’2” and leggy and the socks come up to the top of my calf. A quick look at their site seems like it’s just one size, so may not be a good option for kids. If you fold them down, I assume they’d get hot. And if you tried to trim them, I assume they’d fray unless you have some good sewing skills. (Maybe they have a youth offering and I missed it.) Skate socks. The ones you linked look nice but I think they're going to be too big for my 12 year old. Appreciate the idea though.
A2rhino 79 Report post Posted 2 hours ago I personally love everything about these. I have had three pair for nearly 3 years and they still are in almost new working shape. Swiftwick – HOCKEY 360° Cut-Resistant Hockey Socks
