AHL-All Stars skills competition

Recommended Posts

I started, but forgot about it. Definately one of the most enthusiastic in-rink announcers I've ever seen. What was Jay's time? I always see him fire wristers, rarely ever see a slapshot.

That was a DIRTY move by Ballard. Weird seeing Koivu, my friend played against him in Finland a few years ago.

Anyone else watched this? Jay Bouwmeester disappointed me in the hardest shot competition though.

I've watched it. Jay doesn't have a rocket, but there is some one who didn't pass the 90, he got 82 at his first shot.(can't remember his name)

Aw but there's 14 year olds on MSH who shoot harder than 82...

Lawrence Nycholat from the Hartford Wolfpack was the guy who didn't crack 90 MPH

I was at it. i live like 10 min. from the Verizon center. It was pretty good. The best part was when Camallarri pulled some sweet move on the breakaway contest. The guy in the hardest shot got 82 because the gun doesnt register when its a high shot like he had. I might go to the game that is tonight.

Man I am going to sound like a retatrd or maybe even be accused of lying but, in any case....I did that Cammaleri move in practice the other day and it worked everytime....then I see it on Sportscenter(TSN) and it is the Highlight of the night....i had myself convinced that he was at the practice but was reassured by friends.......sorry I just had to tell you all this almost pointless story.

I think it's a standard move that everyone learns to do, kinda like dribbling behind the back in baskeball.

Just saw the Cammaleri goal on TSN's Plays of the Week. Fan-freakin-tastic. Check the TSN.ca Audio/Video reel after the late airing tonight (11PM) They'll update the PotW then. The Jason Ward goal from the Bulldogs Game Friday night was sweet too...

The faster skater was Tomas Plekanec from the Dogs...I knew he was fast but 14.196...holy crap!
