Wasn't it Ponty that used to have like 2 dozen at any given time?

This is going to turn into the Stick-a-holics anonymous thread again, isn't it?

Hi, my name is Ogie, and I'm addicted to hockey sticks!  (shout from the crowd) HI OGIE!

I am shooting to downgrade to two dozen.

Ponty.... you give me hope... (or, you make me feel less like I have a problem - depends on your point of view).

OK..... WELCOME TO SA (Sticks-Aholics).

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/index.php?showtopic=8210&st=15

Since we're coming clean.....

I've got:

* Hespeller Kick-lite (low) shaft, Bauer 7000 (wood blade)

* Busch Balance Shaft w/ TPS X1 blade

* Busch Carbone shaft w/ TPS X1 blade

* TPS Response shaft with Mission comp blade

* Inno 1100 with Axion blade

* Bauer Vapor XX, Gagne Curve 102

* Vector 120c, Recchi curve 100

* Mission M1 - Pro Rafalski, 95fl (deep toe curve, by the way)

* Louis. XN10 (presumably prototype), Adams curve - I'd guess about 105 flex

* Louis. XN10 (new model), Montador pro, estimate 95 flex

* and, I still have my 2 Easton Xmas Stealth's on the way (ANY day now, according to Easton...... )

SO, while it's clear I have a problem, it's nice to know that there are folks that are far worse than me!

(I should really start clearing these things out - I mean, I'm OK with 5, perhaps, but crap.... I'll never use that many over the next few years and by the time I get around to using stick #12 they'll long since have had sticks out that way 1oz and shoot 300 mph on a 1 inch wind up....)

I have got 4 broken synergy's, but no dice because that doesn't count, one synthesis that the blade broke today, a reebok 6K, sherwood taper flex, and an M-1 Cole curve.

I did some simple math a while back. My age vs the number of sticks vs how long they last. Bottom line I wont be playing hockey in my 100's

I'm almost Buzz-like in numbers as well....oh the shame.

There is no shame here, brother! Say it loud, and say it proud. Forget that "first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem" crap. Remember - rehab is for quitters!

So, embrace your stick-jones, my man! EMBRACE!

You and Ponty's better halfs must be fuming, thinking how you wont pay for a 100 dollar hair cut but will pay 10 g's for hockey sticks.

i gotta agree with you guys though, who needs a hundred dollar haircut an way? jeez what a waste of money with that hundred dollars you could get..... ANOTHER STICK.

Keep in mind that most people who have a crazy number of sticks (like say...over 20) rarely pay full retail price for all of them. Between connections, EBay, our sell forum, closeouts, there's plenty of good deals to go around.

Your right. My hair cut is only $80.

I have to say, most now are suckers and are caught up in the stick frenzy. Trends have really changed over the years. I know one 10 yo who has more than $1000.00 worth of composites. I don't know when folks will realized, it's not the necessarily the stick, it's practice that makes your game better, it's push ups that make your shot stronger, not the latest "miracle" stick offered by the companies who just want your money.

My wife has finally accepted my addiction......she doesn't even say anything when I come home from the pro shop. She figure's its better than spending it on booze or drugs......although I think it's easier to quit the booze and drugs.
