Itech Buckets

Recommended Posts

well, im checking if anyone call tell me a little bit about the Itech helmets. I used to wear an old CCM HT-2, like a 1996 model, comfy ass padding, similar to a Bauer HH 4000 which i now sport in a medium. so my team got itech 95s, we had to pay $1 for the helmet so i bought one in a medium and its weird as hell. the itech 100 seems more comfortable, but is way heavy and bulky, so im with my 4000 now. has anyone had any experience with either itech helmets????

yea grazzy, thats what im saying. id take a 4000 over a 5000 anyday of the week even though the 5000 costs more and "prevents more concussions" i guess im pretty much asking if anyone has used a Itech 95 and noticed that they fit kind of small

I guess you can say 95s fit a little smaller than 4000s... I wear a 95 large, adjusted as small as it gets (I could wear a medium, but I got a rep's sample). If I were wearing a 4000, it would be a medium, adjusted about halfway out. The padding on the 95 is a little thicker, and the 95 is a bigger helmet overall, so I guess you could say the helmet is bulky... not quite as much as an old Cooper 2000, but moreso than a 4000.

I don't believe in EPP either...

right on, i sound like about the same fit as you. the Itech 95 i bought was a medium but didnt really fit. i think im going to switch because i notice my 4000s keep cracking where the birdcage strap snaps to the helmet, i can get the lids for $1, and my whole team is pretty much using them

I have the Itech HC 95 and it suits my pointy head just fine. I tried CCM and Bauer buckets and they didn't work for me at all, so I gather they're better for those with flat melons.

I'm still wearing my HC85. They're ugly as hell but I may upgrade to the HC90 (same thing) because the foam is starting to get hard after four or five years. They have excellent ventialation as well.

The 95 comes in XL as well for guys who find the L is too small.

damn, yet another reason i should have got a 95. i've been using a hc100 for awhile now and i like it. i switched from my bauer 4000. its lighter and has better air flow inside. if i did it again, i'd proabably get a 95 for the more comfortable foam....and the xl. the L in itech is a little snug compared to the L in a bauer 4000.

a lot of people prefer traditional foam over epp and the plastic foam packets. the 4000 also looks really differen, a sleeker helmet IMO

Why does everyone like the 4000 over the 5000?

i personally thought the 5k felt bulky on my head. plus, the 4k looked better to me.
