my itech pro lycra jock is dying and i wanna replace it with something that works a little better. the cup shifted a little bit too much, and although i never got hit there, i'd like whatever i get to replace it to stay put in case i do. (knock on wood)

I recently changed from compression shorts to the Itech jock. I love the difference, because they are a little looser on the legs, but still protective. It all depends on which style you find more comfy. It's alot like boxers vs briefs

...I've been using the Shock Doctor compression jock for awhile now. I really like it. It's comfortable, mobile, light and it is holding up very well.

As for the boxers vs. briefs debate: Boxers, without a doubt (unless we're talking about what you wear under your jock, in which case I would have to answer "nothing")

Used to wear a wsi compression jock until the clips broke, recently bought the shock doctor compression jock. The thing is awesome, very well constructed, especially the cup.

I use the new Easton compression one. I love it. I had the shockdoctor loose one before and the compression stays put better without sacraficing movement in mine. When the Easton ones are out, I'd go for that. Great velcro and it has a grippy material on the bottom of the short to stay on your leg.

My underarmor compression hockey shorts have been nothing short of amazing. After always dying of all the heat coming off my yellow itech jock, i barely notice anything under my pants, and I love it. I wear it with a shockdoctor cup, which HAS come in handy once or twice.

As for movement, it is a little bit ackward once in a while, but if you take a few seconds to adjust it without your gloves on, you'll be fine.

i wear the WSI compression pants, the only bad thing is that the cup like floats so its not always in the right spot ;)

I wear the underarmour compressoin short and I love it!

I don't like the bungee effect that it creates in the 'area'. Your twigs and berries don't sit there very well though, but overall, very good

The new Itech compression jock is better than the old one. It's $5 more, but well worth it. WSI's new Stealth Jock is also very good.

Is it me, or does anyone else find this thread to be rather amusing? I haven't seen too many threads talking about jocks, the innuendoes are limitless in some of the comments....thats my two pennies(not worth much I know but hey:P)

I just wear plain old white jocks that stain after a while, whatever works right?

the cup on my wsi loose fit was way too loose for my liking and being that I have no desire to add another post to the jewels thread I've retired the wsi loose jock in favor of cheap jims 3 in 1.

I wear UA compression shorts under an itech short/jock combo

you would be amazed at how cooler it would be if you picked up a set of the UA cup/garter. I went from the itechs too, and it was always so hot under the shorts. Now everything is so much better with my new cup! It does take some adjustment to the cup, but once you find where the right spot is, for the cup, after the first couple skates, it'll be great.

Do what I do, Don't wear one. The two keys are to flash back to soccer and cover yourself when standing infront of a shot, and to pray to god before, during, and after every game!!!!!

I know I am an idiot

Kind of off-topic, but I've had bad problems with the yellow Itech loose jock's velcro coming off after about only a month of use.... <_<

Haven't had that problem and I've had mine for about 2 years. However, the part of the jock that holds the cup has halfway seperated from the elastic now...kind of weird, but I'll use it till it falls off or I just sew it back on.

Mine did that after about a year. It's about 1/4 of the way apart, but it seems to have not gotten any worse since.

I have had teh Itech and the WSI pro compresion short in the past. Both had one major flaw which was the cup moving out of place all the time. I ended up sewing a strapped jock into the Itech and I wore a reg strap jock with the WSI.

Now I have found what I was looking for: The ShockDoctor compression short jock is amazing. The cup really stays in place and the short itself is nice, too.

I've noticed that as well.

I'm thinking of getting a normal jock strap to hold my cup and wear the UA shorts over top of it.

I wear my UA shorts over my goalie cup when I'm playing in net and it's perfect.
