Does anybody know when and why Warehouse Sports changed their international shipping policy on NikeBauer equipment??

I have ordered a number of NikeBauer products from them in the past, some as recent as 2 months ago but when I went to order some new sticks from them this morning I recieved the following message:

The Manufacturer of the product(s) below does not allow international shipments of their product. To proceed with your order the product(s) must be removed.

Item

NB Vapor XXX Lite Wood Blade P92 Sr R 2

Seems a little strange to me that for years they have been able to ship Bauer to me and then the next minute won't.

think it has more to do with keeping Canadian stores in buisness. The extra cost it takes for them to get product into the country to sell at retail is why the prices are higher... If they loose the Canadian retailers they loose a LOT of their buisness. The price differences aren't the big companies fault, it's the country's economy's fault. They say heathcare is free... but is it really?

It's not like they're just raping Canadians here, but the country has to make money to substain government programs.

I dunno...poutine's pretty tasty. Nothing better than sitting in a bar in Montreal eating poutine and drinking a Guinness. Talk about heavy.

JR, don't forget the XL Smoked Meat sandwich, heavy mustard. And a trip to Lafleur's for Steamies!

Shit, I miss MTL.....

so why can I order a stick off the internet and get it into my country MUCH cheaper than the retail price? With them shipping in bulk it really shouldn't be a problem for them to keep the prices down.

Same old beaten horse that keeps re-emerging...

The LHS's in your area, have to pay for rent, electric bills, employer salaries etc....

The internet shops are more effecient + they tend to get better discounts because they buy and sell in much larger quantaties than a little LHS...

Capatalism 101.

Why do you think walmart can offer better prices than your local store, even though they sale the same stuff...

Nike/Bauer just recently changed their policy about shipping to Canada from the states and yes ,it miffed me as well. They've fallen into line behind Easton whose products I incidently also really like but now have to pay out almost 50% more in Canada. Mission is looking like a great alternative and their equipment would be even a better buy getting it at U.S. prices. If and when I need new equipment I think Mission will be who I go with and start sticking it back to the big three the way they are sticking it to us. My only regret is their stuff is made in the U.S. not Canada but I'll do whats best for me not the conglomerates.

NBH was the first to restrict trans-border shipments. They did it when it benefited US consumers to buy in Canada. Now that's the inverse.

Mission does not make anything in the US. They barely have an office in SoCal. Everything is made in Asia and designed in Canada.
