MCornell, The holder is not centered on the outsole but the outsole is not centered on the boot, so if you look at the position of the holder relative to the boot, it doesn't look as bad and might be within tolerances.
Custom should be a last resort. It's a lot of money, especially for someone just starting out.
A few people have had luck stretching toe caps. You dont get much though.
Heels can definitely be stretched.
This is why it can be hard to tell visually. The outsole can be the piece misaligned. Not that the holder isn't too, but if you are just checking the holder relative to the outsole (which is what the eye is automatically drawn to) that's not the real story. Try measuring from the edge of the holder on both sides to the edge of the boot/heel on both skates and see what the difference (if any) is.
It looks like they mounted it specifically for the player who might have pronated or supinated... Can you take picture looking straight down with the whole skate and holder in the picture.
I swam in 2 open water swims this weekend (a half-mile on Saturday and a 500m this morning) and claimed first place in my age division both times! 🙂 Also this morning the water was 58F so I'm frankly happy that I finished at all. brr.
I still can't believe Millbury traded Luongo for that pick.
Millbury made some stupid deals, there are many to choose from. Luongo and Chara have to be the two biggest. Both guys are locks for the HHoF.
that might have been me regarding the donut "holes" lining up to the ankle bones. thats true. and I am under the impression they toss in the ankle pads in a stock position. im fairly certain of that.
