I have the shot blockers. I'm not a big guy, but I like very stiff skates and I've taken a couple of hard shots off the boot and have felt pretty much nothing. Also have the T-Guards, which I haven't used much, as I mainly use the stock tongue. From my limited use, the T-Guards are noticeably stiffer fore/aft.

Took a shot off my inner ankle, really glad I got shot blocker. I probably would of been out for the season with a fracture. Instead it was a couple weeks with a deep contusion.

I've seen their math; also, 500 is the lower number they claim. Was told you can go further, to about 750 before loss of performance (the wheel isn't coded) sets in. Their claim is that you should be refreshing your edges every time you skate, so if there's no trauma, one pass will do. 3 would be considered the extreme end of the cycle. Using the math above, if you go 3 passes x 2 skates x 500 pair, that equates to 3000 passes. 500 pair at $99 equates to $.19.

BASE Hockey is investing in some new infrastructure and technology which will allow us to have more control over the production and modification of patterns. Accordingly, we're interested in knowing what new patterns people would be interested to see. Below, I've included some possibilities we've discussed, but I'd also like to get suggestions from you. I'll be keeping a tally of interested people for each pattern. If you want your choice to have more traction, you can PM me or post here to indicate what type of order you'd be interested in if your preferred pattern was created (e.g. 1-3 OPS, 10-12 blades, etc.), but you don't have to. -Max height patterns: e.g. BC88M, BC92M, BC28M -Different lies: e.g. BC88 lie 5, BC28 lie 6, BC05 lie 5 -New patterns: e.g. Warrior Gionta, Barkov Pro, Ovechkin Pro, Hull Pro Gionta: Barkov: Hull: Ovechkin: Some other options are the Kesler/Toffoli pro (Drury with toe kink) or the Benn pro (Sakic with toe kink), but I don't have any pics of those.
