Very carefully/slowly and with a lot of scrunching.

Don't go with a boot that is too wide or too deep, you can't make it smaller. But you can work with the Supreme, get it stretched for the forefoot width then add eyelet extenders (it's easy enough to make your own) or Reebok lacelocks for the volume.

If you find a pair of retail skates that fit well, you might as well buy at least two pairs... At least a second pair when it goes on clearance and a new model is coming up...

Dude... sorry 😞 That’s some pretty crap news. We’re all rooting for you and hope something breaks your way soon!

The closest thing you’re going to find is True. Since they’re custom fit to your feet and crazy heat moldable they’re going to be your best bet if you want a similar feel.

Right now it’s just a Singer 4432. I’m about to buy a JUKI DDL-5550 though.

Hmm, everyone else on the team have the same problem? That doesn't sound right or you bought a size too small. I wouldn't go with thinner elbow pads just to fit in the jersey sleeves. But CCM makes slim-profile referee elbow pads if that's what you really want.

Well, this is what happens when you buy a sewing machine. I took the stripes and patch off a Warrior MSH Winterfest pant shell and put them on a Bauer girdle shell. Also just for funsies, here’s a fitted cap I took apart and rebuilt to make it go from a 7-5/8 to a 7-3/8. Im thinking I might start making goalie accessories. Toe ties, suspenders, etc.

Howdy, I would say a little more bent, yes. Trying to do it with knees vs. back, but it ends up with both. For sure a bit of an adjustment period, but after not playing for 3-ish months or whatever it was, there was an adjustment period anyway. Its about 6" shorter, btw. I notice it most in terms of reaching out for poke checks or to knock the puck down / keep it in the zone or something. I would say its also messed with how the flex of the stick feels to me. Hard to say if the lack of wrist pain is from the stick length, different knob, different wrist brace or just lots of rest. At this point I don't have much incentive to isolate each of those things to narrow it down. I'm just enjoying being able to play without my wrist hurting. My bigger focus is to see if I can get my wind back a little after months of doing nothing but "ref skating" 🙂 Mark

I don’t think these are all that rare, but an interesting set to add to the collection.

Well it looks like I’m not going to be skating anytime soon. I’m not only not getting my drain taken out, but I’ll be getting an additional drain. My current drain only addresses one side of my liver. The new drain will be for the other side. The potential devastating news I got today is that if the additional drain isn’t successful then I would need surgery to attempt to open my bile ducts. It’s a major operation that could damage the major artery and cause the need for a transplant very soon afterwards. This wasn’t the information I was planning on getting today.
