Love the Modano. I have it on an HTX that I hope never breaks. I wish they would reintroduce the bumpy texture and clear coat finish. I would get a 100 Modano then. It would be interesting to see what that price would be with inflation. Synergy was 460g. It was beyond great in its day, but that’s not a competitive stick on today’s market. You have been able to get a stick around that weight and $150 for the last few years anyway. Edit: According to this inflation calculator, $150 in 2000 is roughly $255 in 2022.

“Built with updated materials for improved feel & performance but holds true to the iconic look with the most iconic patterns that Synergy was known for.” Translation, Because if we actually used any of the original materials or build process we’d get exposed that a lot of the current sticks are subpar compared to the original synergy.

Yesterday I started physical therapy for my knee. I completely ruptured my MCL in January. The therapist says she thinks I should start skating again in about 2 weeks. I'm super excited

I skated today for the first time in almost 2 1/2 years, thanks to a broken foot and assorted health issues. It was pretty ugly but I was out there.

I went back then the family morning schedule changed and I had to stop. So now I get to get out again after another layoff. Not a bad situation though: -Shanked pass "Sorry, I've haven't been on the ice in months..." -Get burnt on D "Sorry, I've haven't been on the ice in months..." -Catch an edge and look like a newb "Sorry, I've haven't been on the ice in months..." -Sail a shot 15 feet wide "Sorry, I've haven't been on the ice in months..." Eventually that well will run dry and I won't have any excuses, but while it lasts....
