  1. My team won the haunted shootout for our division up in Mass which also included a tour of the Umass hockey facilities because my coach played there and we got to see the game against BU. Then I went up to TSR. All around great weekend.
  2. idk I like them theyre different
  3. I'm not a fan of grafs or t'blades but those are really nice!
  4. I have the same gloves they are sooo nice lol TSR i assume? and what curve on that dolomite?
  5. The gionta looks exactly like what i was looking for.
  6. Bauer Vapor X:60 Flex: 67 Curve: P92 and p14 Height: 5'6 Weight: 135 Postition: C/RW Time-frame of use: First stick lasted for 3 months current stick is on 4 months and the limited edition with p14 curve was purchased a week ago Aesthetics: Well i have had three different versions of this stick first off i recieved the grip version as a warrenty replacement for my one 95 shaft. Then I got a my bauer in the Russian graphics, and finnaly I purchased the limited edition stick recently. All of these sticks I have loved the graphics they are fairly intricate and yet not crazy. Out of all the sticks the limited edition graphics are my favorite the blue they chose just pops and is awesome. The regular stick'um graphics are very nice as well and with the Russian graphics i love the way they incorporate the flag in the design all around a great looking stick however you buy it. 10/10 Weight and Balance: This is by far the lightest stick I have ever used. While being light it doesn't have the problem of being blade heavy as many super light sticks are known to be. It feels perfect in your hands while both stickhandeling and shooting. 9.5/10 Blade: The blade has alot to do with personal preference and at first i was coming from an SE 16 which had a very soft feel and i always knew where the puck was on my stick. This was very differnt. At first I hated the feel of this stick. It was extremely pingy and somewhat hard to control passes. After adjusting after a very long time I have gotten used to the different type of feel. Even when I didn't like the feel though, passing was great with it all of my passes found their target and were crisp. 7.5/10 Shaft/Flex: As I said I was coming from an SE 16 which some of you may know had a pretty square shaft at first I though this would take some getting used to but it was not a problem at all. The shaft feels great in my hands while stick handeling. The flex has stayed strong throughout my entire use of the stick. I have broken these before the shaft seemed to go "dead". Which i was very happy with. 9/10 Stickhandeling/Passing: I have pretty good hands so even when I didn't like the blade at first I was still able to stickhandle pretty well. After getting used to the blade stickhandeling I haven't had any problems. Passing at first and still is a little differnt with this stick. I have noticed if I don't take a pass really well and cradle it properly so to speak it will bounce of the blade more than any other stick I have used. If anything though this has made me focus more on my technique when recieving passes. On the other hand giving passes as I stated before has been very nice with this stick and in that area I don't really have any complaints. 8/10 Shooting: This is my absolute favorite part of the stick. Shooting with this stick is wonderful. It kicks very nicely while still having a quick release. As for the Intelli-Sense shot technology which seems a bit gimmicky I feel there is a small bit of truth to this. I have used both a vapor xxxx which had a nice quick release and a One95 which was great for loading on slapshots. This stick seemed to be the best of both worlds which is basically what Intelli-Sense is supposed to be all about. 10/10 Although I have already broken one of these and i feel the second one is one its way I am very hard on sticks and do break them fairly often. My first X60 lasted for 3 months which wasn't too bad. My second is entering its 4th month of use and I am hearing a odd cracking sound from the blade which is what leads me to believe it is going to break soon. As for how the flex holds up I said before I haven't noticed any loss in flex which was great the flex stayed consistant for as long as the stick survived. The graphics also stay intact very well ecspecially considering I get slashed ALOT. This was also great because coming from an SE 16 the graphics on that came off very quick which was one of my minor complaints about that stick. 7.5/10 Conclusion: This has been one of the best sticks I have ever used. Although if you are coming from a stick with a softer feel this stick will take alot of getting used but it wasn't too bad. If you are a shooter though this is definantly the stick for you, the kick is amazing. As for those who freak out about weight than you will also be very pleased with this stick. All in all it has been a great stick and I recommend picking one up if given the opportunity 8.5/10
  7. I live on long island but we were going up for a tournament at the new england sports center in mass so we went 50 minutes further to go there.
  8. My first ever trip to TSR was amazing. This is what i did with my weekend and these are my custom x 60s I've had them for a few months but they deserve to be in here.
  9. The guy who told you it wouldn't fit is an idiot I've put senior blades in all of my Int. shafts. I din't even know intermediate blades existed untill a few months ago.
  10. 2 months lol its not that there almost outgrown but I bought them even a bit bigger than normal (I know stupid decision) but they were customs an employee at my LHS wasn't using (he fits in supremes) so I got them at a beatiful $400. Just another reason to not buy online sometimes cool stuff like that happens lol
  11. How long and how much for the tuuks I'm unfortunately outgrowing my x60s at a frightening speed and if I go for another company I'll probably have tuuks put on.
  12. I'm loving those shany xxx's
  13. Bauer 4 Roll Glove Review Fit - I have never had a traditional fitting glove before this and I adjusted very quickly. It wasn't too lose at all and felt just right. 9/10 Weight - I have never really though about the weight of the gloves but now that I do they are fairly light. They aren't the very lightest but they aren't heavy at all. 8/10 Mobility- Being that it is a traditional fitting glove there is room to move and I love mobility in my gear and these certainly not a disapointment. 10/10 Break-in - The break in was majic almost no time at all by the time I had gotten to my practice the night I bought them by working them very little and It felt like I had been wearing them for a month. This was probably more noticable In my case because I was coming from an easton S7 which had some synthetic leather. 10/10 Protection - This was my first glove with inserts and I love them! I've been slashed, hooked, and even once hit my hand into the post and the gloves protected me like a suit of armor. 10/10 Durability - All around I feel I have gotten my moneys worth shooting many day in the back yard, a full highschool season, 5 travel practices, two seasons of rec league, and a season of inline rec league I have only gone through the first layer of the palm which I was VERY happy about. My only concern Is around the vents the nylon started to rip and has unraveled a bit. I have not seen this in any others so I'm assuming It's fairly rare but I do take good care of my stuff. 7/10 Intangibles - I must say I love these gloves! The vents are very nice and these are the most comfortable gloves I have ever worn with the padding on the back of the hand which I find to be one of my favorite parts of the glove. 10/10 Conclusion - If you love traditional 4 roll gloves or even coming from anatomical fitting gloves like me chances are you will love this glove. The comfort and mobility is second to none. Slight durability issues but with the amount of use they have gotten it's no surprise. Final score - 9/10
  14. Though i'd bump this because I loved this thread but do you guys notice if there's a behavior change in customers during the spring when new stuff comes out because it's around spring and summer when most DB's seem to be in my LHS
  15. Those palms are digital right?
  16. ahahhaa +1 how can people be soo stupid
  17. NO that's not my intention but from what i've seen it's a bust and i didn't want to generalize either my bad
  18. From what I've seen around me its a pretty big bust i tried a command grip and an attack pad and hated it. One lhs near me won't stock it becuase it doesn't sell and even the lhs at the inline rink stocks bladetape but they don't sell well and people have been saying that's who it is mianly intended for
  19. Got a look at all the new stealth protective in my lhs and picked up s13 shindguards and im really liking them there comfortable and really protective ecspecially in the calf area
  20. The rocket runners were not a bust i remeber thinking they were a great idea then heard about the sharpening issues and knew they were screwed should have caught on though. I have a kid on my team whp uses them and loves them but the problem is they are damn impossible to find But as far as Busts go how about taki mack and blade tape
  21. I had it for about two months b4 it broke ( not to knock at its durabilitybecause im out shooting in my backyard just about evveryday) the feel for the puck for stickhandeling and passing was amazing and the intelli sense shot technology i feel has some truth to it. I've used a one 95 and I've used a xxxx and know what the different kickpoints feel like (Its not a huge difference but somewhat noticable) and from slapshot to wristshot i felt the difference and i shot very well all in all before this drags on any longer it is an amazing stick, my favorite of all time and completely recomed it :)
  22. I hate to sound ignorant but would you mind telling me how to tell if a sharpening is a good one? I would really liek to know also becuase i hope to one day work at my LHS
