Okay, I'm sorry mom and dad but what the hell? I go home with my report card, all courses over 90% with the exception of 2 lower grades, where the teacher explains why it's low and that it's a misunderstanding. Yet still, you get pissed off, start shouting off about having to take school seriously. I didn't even hear one good job or I'm proud of you. That's all I freaking want. Edit: Forget this, we patched it up, there was another family member in some financial trouble which just gave that day some edge, so they got a little hasty. Sweet: Bought a second Base stick today, parents offered to pay for half cause of my "hard work". Thanks Mom and Dad.

Sorry to ask, but could somebody explain what David went through? I know he went from Midget C to the NHL in 3 years, but I was hoping for some more information. I'm writing a story for english and I wanted to do it about what he kinda went through. And the problem is, a lot of the links from the beginning of the thread are dead.

Okay, can some of you guys help clarify the difference between these gloves. It looks like there's not many major differences in the gloves, outside of modified backhand in the X65s, a cuff shape and overlay. I'd really like to pick up a pair of Eagles. If there really is a big difference, I'll go for PPF's but I honestly don't see too big a difference outside what I just mentioned. Maybe the liner? They didn't mention that. Any help? Edit: Okay, so I need to learn to read pages before I do something. So it's made overseas..is that the difference? Cause I'm so lost right now..

Well, like Chadd said defenseman can control the flow of the play and initially the game. IMO,I think that just being calm and being able to make smart plays under pressure is the biggest thing you'll need to learn, I think that's the biggest difference between good defense and great defense. And just talk it over with your linemates. I'm always going end to end, or sinking down to the hash for a shot, being D doesn't mean you won't produce.

Self project I did. Put an extra bicep pad on my 7500's and added my version of Jofa's floating slash guard onto my Pro Defenders. Sorry if the pics are a bit big.

Been working on a home project for 3 hours. Turned out quite well. Modded some stuff. Put an extension to the bicep part of my Jofa 7500 shoulder pads, just finished adding my own version of Jofa "Floating" slash guards to my Bauer Pro defender elbow, gotta finish tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to post pictures, cause I think it's pretty cool.

Finally found my flow tonight. Got first goal of the season off a clean point shot, and was close to getting 2 more. I gotta say, I can't wait till my next game. Oh and I'm getting new hockey pants tomorrow.

Definitely. And like I said too, they give phenomenal service. Like I'll walk in looking for tape, and they'll ask me how everything is, if my equipment's okay, how's the family. Sure it could be part business or trying to make a sale, but they take care of you and all that. And just a question, how are lhs' actually gonna sell Eq50's without the end plug? I'd think those are still sellable, it only lacks the end. Or would they just be better off contacting their sales rep.

Great to know what the deals my LHS gives. 150 to replace holder and steel. But then again, I'm not gonna argue. They've got great service and they take care of you. Hard to put a price on that.

Just got back from a game tonight. Finally got a chance in the shootout. I pulled my signature move, it worked perfectly. But no, I just had to lose and edge and miss the net. By like 5 cm..lovely. Just lovely. And that woulda kept the game going too, we probably would've won.

After like a month, finally got the jersey I ordered. NHL Authentic Bruins Winter Classic Jersey. And who else, but Bobby Orr. Looking to find a shell and edge socks to match suite.

At least your team seems decent. My team is pretty bad. We've lost the last 5 games, the 4 of those 5 games the other team scores more than 10 goals. The most we've scored in a game is 3. I dunno what it is, our team has the right players to be contenders but we just lack something.

Getting a pair of lightly used One 90's this weekend for 20. Personally, my favorite Bauer glove. They're old but it's like getting the toy I never got that Christmas to me(except all my "toys" were gear, and I was pretty lucky). Oh and they're signed by Dany Heatley which is chool.

Had my glasses broken today. Apparently I had to get new ones. I was lucky enough to get a deal on them, for 170. But still, there goes my stick money. And the Stealth I found was my coaches. Oddly enough, he didn't even notice until the next practice when I had to be using it right in front of him. I guess it can only get worse from here.

Well, this is a first that I've actually had 2 worthy sweet spots in one day. At the practice, was unfortunately told that I was still too "defensive" but in my defense, the other forwards were pretty brutal backchecking. Had a game right after, played well, but got taken down on a breakaway without a penalty and fanned on a one-timer that could've been the tying goal(5-4). What makes this day great? I found an Easton Stealth CNT at my rink brand new. I even took the time to ask around if others owned the stick. Sent an email this weekend, if all goes well I got a new stick.
