  6. One more ?? How does the flex compare between pro and retail? I'm thinking about going pro stock with this one but didn't know if the feel was different at same flex rating.
  7. It's actually below the part where you'd roll it out. Can a mod delete this and add my post to the mako post?
  8. I've been skating in these since April 2-4 days a week. All of a sudden recently right above my ankle bone on the outside of my left leg near the top of the boot, something is digging in and starts to hurt after a while of skating. Can't figure out what it is. Don't know if it's the boot, a combo of the tongue and shin guard chafing my leg. looks like i have some type of small cut or irritation that no matter how long i give it a rest it doesn't go away. funny thing about it, i was talking to another dude who also has mako's and he has the same thing in the same exact spot, same leg. I really like the skates, but it gets to the point where after 30-40 minutes I want to stop.
  9. How many skates should I give with it? Went with the closest to 5/8 I think it was 90/75 First skate today, not too sure.
  10. Anyone on mako try these on? I'm 6D in mako. Really go to a junior 5.5?
  11. I have depth issues with everything except for nexus but they are way too wide. I fail the pencil test with mako but no lace bite no circulation issues

  13. Still would like to know if the front/top side of kovalchuk is the same as the regularl franchise. Also, are the Bauer 4 roll pro and wide/normal franchise similar in width?
  14. I've seen the pics. Looking for opinions from those who have had it.
  15. Is the kovalchuk cuff the same as the blooming cuff, but on the underside it has a piece or two that fold with ur wrist? Like my reebok here. I think I'd like that better than the hossa. The hossa digs in my wrist and pinches between it and elbow pad. That piece with the 7000 bends with ur wrist.
  16. it's the cuff itself. i think it may be a combination of the narrow fit and hossa cuff. it's not nearly as wide around the wrist so it puts the cuff real close and it was digging in. i've been wearing bauer 4 roll pros. i wonder if the regular fit franchise fits closer to them than the narrow fit.
  17. Damn. Played with them on for like 30 minutes. On my top hand the under side of the cuff rubs and digs in my wrist bad. Does this go away as they break in?
  18. Ordered my custom franchise may 6, shipped June 6 arrived today. Narrow fit 13" hossa cuff. That cuff makes them look tiny. I'll break them in before I have an opinion.
  19. Has anybody tried to heat the heel to form and get a better ankle lock? Seeing if worked and any tips? the video shows them spot heating with a heat gun, but that's it. I didn't know if you put them on right after and maybe how long you stay in them for.
  20. Tried the 18k shin today. The calf strapped was just about right it was almost a little too short compared to the 20 K. The top strap was really short like the 20 K.
  21. Alright, this was the first time I actually removed footbrds while drying. Put them back in, no more movement.
  22. It's so weird that all of a sudden it happened 1.5 months in. If my four is sliding up with footbed I guess my ankle isn't as locked in as I thought.
  23. I'll check when I get home but this is 1.5 months in with them and it just started.
  24. I have a weird thing happening. Skates have been awesome 3 days a week since April 2. All of a sudden the last 2 times out my toes on my right foot are rubbing against the front of the boot. When I bend my knees it's a little better by by the time I'm done it feels like somebody rubbed a cheese greater over the tips of my toes. I wear the grey synergy Easton skates have been the whole time. Only difference I notice between the two skates is that I noticed the right footbed is sliding back and forth. I'm talking about with the skate off I can stick my hand in there and with a little push the footbed moves from front to back. The left one doesn't. Is this the culprit? Suggestions?
