  1. Is there any method to try zChannel sharpening on normal sharpeners for example Blademaster or Blackstone's? But anyway, zChannel is too expensive way to try because of its deep hollow...
  2. Great. I'm considering that I will order next my sticks to Warrior too if Easton doesn't continue producing 65flex stick. Can you remember what flex is lowest in Warrior providing? I've heard it is 55flex though... is this true?
  3. If my memory is correct, Scott doesn't make or insert shims. Also he doesn't have contouring machine for hockey skates. Everyone on this forum often make shims by themselves.
  4. I think it's not better to use changing runner's pitch by contouring if you want over +/-2. I'm using 3mm shim and +1 or 2 pitch.
  5. I thought Jagr's strange band.
  6. I'm interested in that too. When I bought my spinners, I called my goalie friends to buy A-Trap spinners. But anyone didn't. 52/17/100 mean 0.052" of bottom width(outside) / 0.0017" of bottom height / 0.1" of bottom width(inside)? Then other story, I measured my 3 spinners with vernier calipers though, I felt the precision is so roughly. I have 90/50, 100/50 and 95/75. But 100/50 have smaller bottom diameter than 95/75. 100/50 was 30.9mm, 95/75 was 31.0mm and 90/50 was 31.3mm.
  7. Yeah I had read all of this thread so of course include your post and chart. It was very useful to understand about FBV, thank you. I measured my 3 spinners with vernier calipers and after calculated its edge angle. I could get almost same number as your chart. But I still wonder why Mark doesn't send me reply and change the chart if my thinking is correct.
  8. I've not been able to receive answer from Blackstone and Mark... The spinners which have "xx/50" bottom height escalate as 70, 72, 75, 80, 82, 90, 95, 85, 88, 92, 98, 100 in this chart. It's so wonder... Their heights are the same "50". So its bottom widths must mean each spinner's edge angles directly. If this thinking is not wrong, what any other factor changed the feeling? Of course I can't say it as I've experienced though, I can't believe that Blackstone's announce. They are writing 85/50 is deeper feeling than 95/50. Is there anyone who have similar feeling as Blackstone said?
  9. Thank you Dave, I make this post to record correct information. Because I saw certainly number of information on the internet yesterday when I was looking for. "10 millionths", "10 thousandths", "thousandths"... etc For example in case of 90/50, 90 mean 0.090 inch of bottom width (picture's d). 50 mean 0.0050 inch of bottom depth (picture's h). And there is only a special number, "xx/1" mean as same as "xx/100", so it mean 0.0100 inch of bottom depth.
  10. Today I've received my 3 FBV spinners. Then I noticed that Blackstone announce as here. For example, from ROH 1-3/4" to 1-1/4", FBV escalate as same from 70-72-75-80-82/50. But they write 95/50 is shallower feeling than 85/50. Or also 92/50 or is deeper feeling than 95/50. Is there anyone who can explain this?
  11. I can't realize how A-Trap spinners are used or the numbers what mean... For example, how about 52/17/100? And it comes with a set of 2 spinners though, we have to sharpen twice? or dressing twice and once sharpen?
  12. I got a message from a shop. I will receive this Finnish replica jersey soon...
  13. I think it's better to use something like Lock-Tight.
  14. Sorry, I couldn't realize true meaning of your post. Sorry for my poor English. If it mean as "how long had you used X8", I had used it for a year, probably. X8 was closely the same as ROH 1-3/4" and I had used it for very long time.
  15. Yes. Usually I'd used most shallowest ROH and went to BFD X8. Then after I changed to X7 but felt too large difference between X8 and X7. So I want these spinners.
  16. I've done all seeing this thread just now. And decided to choose 70/50, 80/50, 90/50, 100/50 spinners for my first FBV. My weight is 72~4kg and the ices around here usually soft. So I think I will go with 0.5mm depth firstly. I will email Mark sooner. I'm thinking someday I will buy the same 4kinds spinners in 0.75mm depth.
  17. I'm considering to buy 3~5 spinners of FBV compatible with BFD X8~7. I had sharped my skate X8 but now using X7. I felt it was better if I could choose more 1 step between X8 and X7. I heard it is said X8 or X7 compatible with 1/2~3/4" of ROH. At least now I don't want to use deep bottom, /100(1mm?) spinner. My basic feeling or liking is "shallow flat bottom and enough angle of edge". Especially the ice which near of my house is little softer. So I'm thinking to buy 100/50, 95/75, 85/100, 90/75, 95/50. How do you guys think about these choice?
  18. I've noticed that I can't find screw head on your skate. How does velcro work?
  19. Oh... so they have many of metal mold each kinds of radius option which they publish on website. Amazing. I'm wondering which contouring machine are they using. Anyway, for example if they use Bladmaster machine, Blademaster doesn't produce such combination or variation for their general line up of Custom Radius metal mold. Also Blademaster provides custom order of metal mold though, I think it must be not cheap prices... I feel I want to use the shop someday...
  20. Great! The combination 8-12' radius is just the shop have a metal mold of that or change 2 molds at half point by the hands? I want to hear how do you feel the profiling.
  21. Easton V9E custom (these I've already received last month) and Warrior Franchise glove. I much love Franchise gloves (4 sets using) but I heard Warrior decided its discontinued. So sad... Most of problem is it will be discontinued either its palm leather for replacing.
  22. I'm sorry if I misunderstood though, have you cut the outline of your custom insole smaller to solve the problem? I don't think you can solve the problem by the method... I measured my insole for you. That thickness is 2.65mm, measured with vernier micrometer. How about yours? This number is the point around foot fingers. Sorry I couldn't measure around heel because I don't have such special measurement. But this is my feeling though, I feel a part of heel is thicker than around finger area less than 1~2mm from I took the 2 points between my fingers.
  23. Hi. Definitely Sidas is thicker than the other ordinary, paperlike insoles. But I wonder is it really so thinner VH's sponge insole and red sheet combination? My insole was made by a shop person. Sidas has also produced many kinds of packaged? combination? insoles but there is a catalog which are published each parts for making custom insole. Their insole can be dismantle more than 5 parts. My insole is used craftman's choice parts for icehockey. I baked my boots and heat molded with VH's genuine insoles. Then after I changed it to custom insole and now skating. Certainly I've felt boots' inside little small, but I re-baked the boots with thicker sox. Ofcourse the craftman filed Sidas insole's bottom by belt sander. He always measured genuine insole thickness and make custom insole thickness closer to genuine's. If you can't satisfied with these methods, I think it's better to cut the same things out as genuine red sheet and do heat mold. This is for VH, now I'm using. This is for former Bauer boots. You can see the difference of parts choice.
  24. Mine is 870g https://www.flickr.com/photos/50271552@N06/14727138223/in/set-72157643823289365 Custom boots and double felt tongue, Sidas custom insole, Litespeed2 holder and Step steel with some shims. Then I have a question. So far Scott doesn't or perhaps couldn't use 3D or plaster foot mold for hockey boots making. When I asked him that you can make more better thing if I sent you my foot mold, he answered me no he can't use mold making method for these hockey boots. Has he started new making?
