  1. Post a pic when it's done. No worries on a "fee" per say...but if you are every selling any gear that I want we'll work it out then *L*
  2. Don't mean to 'jack your bat thread...but starting a second is just silly. I saw one of these at National Sports today. Worth Prodigy $69.99 (or $79.99...can't remember). Looking just now online, I've seen them between $119 & 139... It's gotta be better than the $40 Easton "Hammer" that I've been using for 2 years. I'd probably go for the 26 oz/34" Decent bat for a guy who isn't that great in a not-that-competitive league?
  3. Update: Traded my Mark Bell Synergy to my buddy's son for one of his Mikhail Grabovski (Hamilton Bulldogs) RBK Sick Kicks. It's a very Drury-ish curve, but it's a Stiff (45) Flex...haven't had a chance to use it yet.
  4. I know you mentioned the protection imagery, which leads to the strong images like wires or brink or something...but how about something like this: Get a foot (or hand) print from the little guy...get that on your arm/shoulder (whatever) with his initials and birthdate. Now...my buddy said that is what he's getting when his kid is born in the Summer...but I'm sure it isn't a 100% original idea to begin with and has been done before. Or... A mans hand holding a baby's hand...with the date somewhere on it. Still says protection, but isn't quite the harsh image of the barbed wire.
  5. Did you manage to get onto the Official backdrop for all the interviews....
  6. Update: Helmet: Pro Bauer 5000 (bought at the Habs equipment sale a couple weeks ago).
  7. [EDIT] n/m...poorly placed comic reference from another site... "nothing to see here" Sorry!
  8. Okay...since we've jumped outside of the LHS world. Here's a customer story from "my world" (I produce Radio commercials for those who don't know). Let's say the spot starts on Friday. The writer has been bugging the client for over a week to supply "Creative Information" so they can write the script. On Wednesday the info finally comes in. Writer turns the hap hazard points in to a script that makes a certain amount of sense and gives it to me late on Wednesday afternoon, after all my voice talent have been through production. Obviously, the client wants more than one voice and some sound effects and stuff. Fine. I do the spot on Thursday and load it into our system. The writer sends the client an MP3 of the spot. We think all is well. Friday comes and goes, the weekend comes and goes. The client calls in a panic on Monday. The spot is wrong. Whatever it is (address, phone number, price point, model number of a featured item...whatever). Writer checks the info that the client provided...Yup, it's wrong...Their mistake. Now...I have to drop the project I'm doing, and re-do the spot for Mr. Dumbass and explain to my Sales Manager why the client wants make-goods **ie Free spots** to make up for the error THEY made!
  9. Have you had any trouble with those screws on the visor? I had to buy longer screws when I doubled up the spacers on mine (Itech visor on a Bauer 5000). I was afraid the heads of the screws might pull through the visor slots....the heads aren't nearly as big as what Itech supplies.
  10. Adam...you can't link directly to your HD... You have to upload them somewhere first...then link to the online image.
  11. Do they let you keep the jersey...or do they keep them to do charity auctions and stuff...? Seems like a silly question, but seriously...none of us are ever going to get the first hand experience, so I figured I'd ask.
  12. Damnit...I don't get Sportsnet or RDS and it isn't on TSN....Gotta get my digital SOON!
  13. I guess guys get snubbed at all levels...not just the NHL ASG. There are guys who ARE playing in that game that will never pan out, and guys who will be drafted way lower than David will...so the Prospect game is not the best indicator of future successes.... Although I'm sure he'd just as much like to play in it.
  14. In the last picture it looks like there is a pretty good sized gap between the bottom of his pad and the top of his boot. With his tongues down like that...it looks like there is nothing preventing a clean shot right at his shins. Maybe it's just the way the picture looks.
  15. Whatever happened to the "Best Reply Ever" thread...I think we have a new winner.
  16. 18th Overall ranked North American born player (Skater) for the Draft...congrats. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10901&hubname=
  17. Additions: Sticks: Warrior Royale (Draper - Christmas), 2 Pro Stock Easton Synergy's (Axelsson & Bell - bought from Buzz_LB)
  18. I play with aguy who is just awesome...amazing skaters...wicked shot...moves in and out at full speed....can steal the puck right off your stick... Anyways...he always wears all black....black pants, gloves, helmet, socks jersey....no logos or writing all black. He recently showed up with a tinted (not mirroed) visor. It's like playing against Darth Vader.
  19. The Western Hockey League (WHL) Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL - where David is playing) is the last stop for a Junior aged player before they are eligible for the NHL draft...many players return there for a season or 2 after they are drafted...if they are under 19 and still have Jr. eligibility remaining. So...yes he's "close" to the NHL...he's playing at a level where the people who make NHL draft decisions will see him on a nightly basis.
  20. Is the "smooth-passing winger" part right ?
  21. I've never seen him play, but from what we've all read about him....David may not need a "fans choice" vote to the ASG...he might find himself there on merit...
  22. Good Luck....thank ModSquad on Draft day. Wouldn't that be a crazy day for hits if that happened.
  23. sorry guys one day sale only. Damn...Had I known, I would've asked you to get me Home & Away Bulldogs jerseys. (But...I guess that's why you didn't make it known...don't want to do EVERYONE'S Christmas Shopping for them).
  24. ?!?! Yes....where? :o
  25. Anyone on your team wearing 87? yeah why? You're from Cole Harbour, NS...I thought maybe it might be taboo for someone to wear Sid's number...I doubt you'd find many 99's in Brantford. Just wonderin'
