  1. Wow, 2002? I love hearing about people starting hockey or picking it up again. Welcome back!
  2. Loved the old style ccm practice jerseys. And the whale to boot. Very nice!
  3. Yeah, definitely keep that thing as is!
  4. Interesting. That seems like a pretty drastic change in preference.
  5. Wow. Molto Generoso! What's the curve on that? Also, do you know if he's currently use an e28 or something similar?
  6. He's not buying those so he can resell them. Nope. Not at all.
  7. I hope this doesn't affect the future of the Mako skate line. It'd be unfortunate if whoever acquired Easton decides to pull the plug or let the Mako concept stagnate. Unless of course other manufacturers follow the speed-skate/hockey-skate trend. If not, I guess I'll have to save up for VH's.
  8. Looks like a t90.
  9. He was a big bauer 3030 wood user, great stick imo Maybe it was similar? I never used tbe one60.

  11. Aren't Vapors and Flexlites complete opposites in terms of fit?
  12. Does this apply to junior skates as well?
  13. If you can't beat'em, join'em.
  14. What size would you recommend? Lengthwise I'm 5.5 in RBK. Thanks.
  15. Justin, 1. Do the RPD Max's come in 5.5? 2. How would these hold up for ice hockey? Thanks.
  16. You should try the Koncepts. It's like wearing nothing at all but they still provide, IMO, mid to upper-mid level protection. It's the model I'm currently trying to stockpile.
  17. Kor may have been the first to transfer speed skating concepts to hockey skates, but it wasn't until years later when MLX came onto the scene that a big manufacturer took notice. I am honestly convinced Kor didn't sell well because of aesthetics.
  18. Oh man, I totally have the wrong topic. Sorry. Mods please move my post if so inclined. EDIT: Yes, I was referring to the VH custom skates.
  19. Regarding the foot tracing, do they account for the thickness of the writing instrument? For example, if you use a pencil, and hold it perfectly vertical i.e. perpendicular to the floor, your foot is gonna seem wider than it really is. I understand you can angle the pencil tip sort of "inward" to get a closer tracing, but how far would you go since your foot isn't completely flush w/ the floor, especially the arch area?
  20. I'll believe the hype if they can make them fit my E/AAA feet.
  21. Custom x60's. Are you implying that Easton will make custom Mako's available to the public in the future? And if so could you say if it would be within the next year? These two statements are inconsistent and therefore leave open LobstaLOL's question of "why bother with Mako's if they cost the same as customs?"
  22. While that's true, as JR said, even these have some preset shape i.e. these won't work for my AAA heels though I recognize that I am in the minority.
  23. The most anticipated skate this year and I can't wear them b/c I'm a mutant.
