  1. I agree. The colors are similar but the segmentation is fairly different.
  2. He does a pretty bad job in this vid. He focuses almost exclusively on volume, and doesn't mention anything about heel or forefoot differences. Maybe there aren't any.
  3. Those flyweights are pure sex.
  4. CCM has been pretty lackluster in the last decade or so in the graphics dept. Now, they just lack originality.
  5. This is the meat of the argument right here. Selling an imitation is one thing, but being dishonest and making them look exactly like another manufacturer's product is downright despicable imo. But then again, Tron may be happy going for the value market. After all, this is MSH and we're more finicky than the average weekend warrior. Their reasoning is out of whack too. There's a blog post by a Tron manager, ceo, or whatever he is, about why they use copy cat graphics, it's to "let consumers know that their sticks compare to those of the big manufacturers." What a load of bull, it's only to fool people who don't know any better. Sorry for the rant, but I really, really despise dishonesty. My critique isn't limited to Tron, but that's a topic for another day. EDIT: Here's the post http://jerseytron.com/blogs/news/15289077-tron-hockey-sticks-light-on-the-scale-very-light-on-the-budget
  6. Great price on the T90! Most likely my next stick purchase. Quality vs. price, SW can't be beat right now.
  7. I haven't seen these in person but you've read my mind. I've got my eye on this line. The x700 at 498 grams for $99.99 per IW is amazing. And $30 more for the X800 w/ an all 3k carbon shaft, very nice. Glad to see bauer giving us budget conscious folks some love.
  8. Pretty much. But it's not just my opinion. Look at the two posts before mine. Bashing another company is a petty marketing strategy. Combine this with their early failure to know their consumers they have a pretty bad record. Also, marketing is one of the few things that we as consumers get to judge since it is our interest they are trying to gain. If we don't like it and we don't buy their product, it's a failure. I don't know how much warrior sells but I've read on here that it's not much. And there are no more russians i.e. inno users to push their product. I remember an old inno ad where roughly half the redwings were using inno. That was a good ad.
  9. Warrior marketing making another misstep. I think it's high time someone lost their job.
  10. I read on here a long time ago that Fedorov skated on an 11ft radius, Whether that is true or not, I don't know.
  11. C'mon, this is is MSH. To be frank, this is just insulting our intelligence. It's like saying Kleenex isn't a tissue. I have no experience w/ this product and it may very well be a game-changer, but this kind of marketing is way over the top. You said it can be used in other skates in place of a regular footbed, so just call it what it is, a new kind of footbed. You can even say "the world's greatest footbed." Companies can lead us to the kool-aid, no need to shove it down our throats.
  12. They're heat mold-able so I'd say they stack up more to Sole or Sidas footbeds. Bauer's marketing team is really good, with a name like "Speed Plate" every little kid will all of sudden care about foot beds and orthotics. I fully expect Bauer to come up with a cool new name for laces spun with kevlar or something. Lock Down Filament. Maybe Speed Strands. https://secure.yoursole.com/us/mens/footbeds
  13. Regarding outsoles, what's the difference between "pro TPU" and "clear injected TPU"? Stiffness?
  14. Those first 3 pairs of eastons are gorgeous. Pro stock or retail?
  15. Do you know if he has anymore or any other interesting 90's gear?
  16. Wow, 2002? I love hearing about people starting hockey or picking it up again. Welcome back!
  17. You said who goes to "a hockey shop" w/o buying, not tron specifically. And even if you did, tron comes out w new knockoffs/products. Finally, you admitted tron carries old stock of major manuf.'s which are usually sale items. The only idiotic posts here are yours.
  18. 1. Maybe he went there to see if they offered better service in person i.e. gave them a chance to change his mind, which would be a good thing rather than straight up boycotting the location. 2. Uhh, all the time. Window shopping is a huge part of retail no matter what you're selling. I go into shops all the time just to see new product in person or to check if there are any in-store/local sales w/ no intention to buy at that moment.
  19. And they didn't get his business. He never said he bought anything.
  20. Loved the old style ccm practice jerseys. And the whale to boot. Very nice!
  21. Yeah, definitely keep that thing as is!
  22. Interesting. That seems like a pretty drastic change in preference.
  23. Wow. Molto Generoso! What's the curve on that? Also, do you know if he's currently use an e28 or something similar?
