  1. Ok, I know that TV schedules are made up before the start of the season, but is there anyone out there that actually believed that a Toronto - Buffalo game would be a better game than a Penguin - Ranger game, even over the summer?
  2. You didn't take all that bad a bump to the head either did you? Makes you wonder how these hockey and football players think they are healthy to play after just a few games off for some of the monster shots they take. It didn't knock me out, but it was a pretty nasty one. Hope you get through this soon...sounds like a horrible experience. They gave me some good drugs this time, no way I would pass an FAA drug test now.

  4. That's what, two so far? Is he still using that spinning shot as much as he used to?
  5. That depends, do you have any plans for the evening?
  6. 1. Generally, yes. Though if the skate is lopsided or requires significant correction, I will dress multiple times per skate 2. I generally don't use anything unless I'm having problems 3. I use fine shine
  7. Tried to work and it didn't do well, back on the shelf for three more weeks.
  8. I know there was a team that had the #1 and #2 pick from the same draft, yet didn't pick either one. /cue people scurrying to figure that one out so they can say they knew it. I can only assume the draft year makes it too obvious. Although, if the 2 played together and it wasn't for the teams that drafted either...that could still be a tricky piece of trivia. Pretty strong draft year, at least one guy with more than 300+ games from each of the first 8 rounds.

  10. I'll be there, skating is really starting to look unlikely
  11. Problems are back, worse than they have been in weeks.
  12. Local rinks require near full gear for open hockey but very little for stick time. Been to more than a few drop in's at more than a few local rinks with guys playing in sweat pants, gloves, and a bucket. I suppose you could call it lack of enforcement if you're one of those asinine "I've always gotta be right" types. But unenforced rules don't carry much more weight than non-existant ones. Evidently I need to clarify, the rinks local to me require near full gear for open hockey.....If they see anyone out there without pads, they get tossed. I wasn't aware that you had been to the rinks near me lately to see the contradictory evidence.
  13. Give her a hug from us when you pick her up.

  15. It's very hard to be good at both ends of the ice. If you spend all your effort in the defensive end, you have nothing left when it's time to head to the other end.
  16. Here I am just a couple miles from MSG and not only can I not get to the game, I can't get it on TV in my hotel room.
  17. I work for an airline. I'll be on more airplanes this week than most people here will be on in a year.
  18. Vent: our airplane lost all hydraulics Sweet Spot: BEFORE we took off
  19. Thought I was completely out of the woods but started getting dizzy at the grocery store again today.
  20. Beauchemin didn't look bad actually. You can't always trust statistics to tell the whole story.
  21. That has happened to me with 7 or 8 guys on a side.
  22. But the leagues and season costs are generally significantly cheaper. If you're working with the same budget, inline allows you to blow more on gear.
  23. They just got the new machine in Harrisburg a month or two ago, so it is a fairly recent list. I will probably be in Pittsburgh the weekend before thanksgiving if anyone out there wants to try it. I only have a couple spinners at the moment though. Are you going to a local shop in the burgh or how would this work? If I were to do it, I would have to find somewhere to set up. I don't have any shop contacts out there.
  24. Socks are here, the jerseys can't be far behind.
  25. haha, thanks it was either between a husky or nova scotia duck tolling retriever (search it up! :P ) but there was a 6month old husky (looks like mine with a cuter puppy face but w/ blue eyes) at the local humane society but she had a genetic defect that makes her back knee's unable to lock up, surgery would have cost $2000+ without the rehab money, we just couldn't afford it, so kinda guilty conscience we went and bought a husky It is costing us probably in the ballpark of $2500 for the whole thing. The initial tumor removal and biopsy, the tests and xrays, and the eventual surgery and examination of the removed tissue and bone. They will be removing a large part of her lower left jaw. That doesnt include radiation if they dont get all the cancer. We arent doing all that well financially the moment (we will be in a very good position starting in about a year)....but $2500 is peanuts when it comes to saving the life of my Stella. I would lay out 10 grand in a heartbeat. .......but why do I fight my gearwhore desires and deny myself more than one of each piece of equipment? The bills for our aussie were about $10k and I would throw in another $10k just to have her a little while longer.
