Glad to hear it. Any word on damage to their home?

CCM Vector helmet V08 size medium. I've been using this for quite a while in beer league and pickup hockey. Fit - The helmet is more rounded than some other helmets, making it a good fit for me. Fit is similar to some of the older Jofa helmets as well as the HT2, x52 and x92 series helmets from CCM. Obviously this is going to vary from person to person. They do seem to fit bigger than a lot of other helmets, make sure you check your size when buying. The tool-less adjustment is easy and works smoothly, yet doesn't move while playing. 9/10 Ventilation - Air flow seems adequate. I don't get cold in the winter and I don't feel like I'm going to die of heat exhaustion when I play in the summer. 9/10 Protection- This isn't the place to get into the VN vs EPP thing (again) but I feel very comfortable with the protection offered by this helmet. My only concern is that the padding is starting to stiffen up a bit, though that could be from it sitting in my car or closet for extended periods of time in the cold weather. I haven't been able to play much lately due to a (non hockey related) concussion. I do like the fact that it seems to fit deeper and cover more of the base of the skull. 8/10 Weight - I really don't notice it when I'm on the ice, that's about all you can really ask of a helmet. 9/10 Durability - A year+ in and it still looks great. I do use a helmet bag to protect it and the visor (when I have one on) so that does help. Again, my only concern is the slight stiffening of the VN padding. 8/10 Conclusion - Solid all around helmet and an excellent value. Sizing and fit is a little unique, so make sure you try it and don't just buy it blind.

I usually used to go between 5/8 and 3/4 depending on the ice and I use 90/75 now

Damn, I've been looking for something in exactly those colors. I don't know how I missed them.

Damn man, that's a tough spot. I used to play hockey with a guy that took a contract gig in Haiti helping reform the government and law enforcement community. Unfortunately I lost his email address somewhere along the way. If anyone sees a tall, thin guy with curly reddish hair and glasses, let me know. Carl is one of the best people I have ever met.

Yes, the posts were deleted for spamming. I'm still pissed about that whole situation.

I thought the 90/75 was pretty similar to 5/8 and the 90/50 is supposed to have less bite, is it not? Everyone here that is used to 1/2" says the 90-75 doesn't have enough bit for them.

There's an entire topic on this. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...showtopic=50711

Most GMs want at least one veteran netminder when they head into the playoffs. i already thought of that. we'll bring artus irbe out of retirement for a few weeks. Ship out Theo and bring Biron in via a separate trade. I think the Caps would take back a little salary on theo and loose a 2nd rounder from Biron but would also free up another 2-3 million in cap space. Then you have the room to bring in a top notch Defensemen. This is what i would try to do anyway. The only way they ship out Theo is if they pay someone to take him or if a team is looking to get out from under a big contract.

Sounds like the same wrap that Mission got hit with. -

That's a trick question, you wouldn't sell them anything that wasn't from Bauer. I guess that's the difference. The Bauer product sells! But to get back on topic. Do guys think Warrior is losing momentum, gaining momentum, or just staying about the same with their OPS and gear? In this area, Warrior has grown significantly. They can't keep the product in stock and it goes out the door as fast as it comes in. -

Never seemed to hurt Jofa sales. -

They were 1 for 3 on the power play (two other penalties resulted in 4-on-4 play). That's better than their season average, yet they were missing their triggerman on the top unit and their best player this season from the second unit. Coming into the game, Thomas had a 1.5 goals against over his previous six games, but there's no doubt he had a clunker Thursday. The bottom line is Chicago appears to be a superior team than the B's are at full strength, and are undoubtedly better than a hobbled B's team. There's no shame in being outplayed by a better team, yet the drunk skunks booed instead. On NHL Live the other day they were commenting on how every player or coach that was asked to name the best team in the league, picked the Blackhawks.

I had pictures done at the PO when I got mine and I was out of there in less then five minutes.
-
I would actually pay to get less Leaf coverage on NHL On the Fly or the lame talk show they run around five PM. Some teams get a 30 second highlight clip, but every damn night we get five+ minutes on Toronto, even if they don't play.
-
It's called Reebok protective now. They simply discontinued the name and all new product has come out with the Reebok name on it.

2-6 weeks was mentioned on NHL Live today.

One regulation loss in the last six games and you're down on them again? They probably should have started Boucher today but I don't think Laviolette has any confidence in him. When you have to decide between Michael Leighton, Ray Emery and Brian Boucher, it's not really a coach's wet dream. The skaters are figuring out the system, they certainly have players that will work in the new system. On a side note, Richards problem with his sticks, and his comments afterward were interesting. He didn't have a new backup stick taped and ready to go when his stick snapped on the PP. Makes you wonder if he, and others, are worn out from the schedule, not doing the requisite prep work, or just dropped the ball this one time.

because the rink is literally a mile away. we have it worked out. i need a free hand to carry beer. I'm about 2 miles from the rink and guys stop by my place on the way to the rink. If you drag it into the locker room you are going to spend most of the time hunched over the sharpener and be the last one on the ice every night. There is always going to be one guy that shows up at the last minute but still expects you to do his skates.

Anything more than a couple pair at a time. Personally I would want to recoup my investment in 12 months or less, your mileage may vary.

That happened to a few "friends of friends" when I was in school, never really had to deal with that when I was younger. Family, of course, but nobody in the same age bracket. Best of luck man.
