  1. That would require the deletion of one of the other second year guys and adding a different rookie. It isn't a one for one swap. Who would you add and delete?
  2. I don't get how people don't understand that it has nothing to do with him personally. They're just picking bodies that fit the city and first or second year
  3. That may be but the NHL is concerned about marketing the game and giving people in as many markets as possible a reason to watch the skills and rookie game.
  4. He was shut out of the YoungStars game as well.... travesty. YoungStars Roster Berglund has the same number of points in fewer games and since they have a much smaller roster they obviously want to have as many teams represented as possible. Regardless of our feelings it is a completely defensible decision.
  5. Ticket? Yeah, he wasn't willing to let it slide three+ months late.
  6. Evidently the state never sent me a registration renewal after I got my FJ. The reason I know this is because I got pulled over on my way home from work. You should have seen the look on my face when I noticed that the card had an expiration of September 30. They sent me a renewal for the old car but I just tossed it and waited for one to come for the FJ. Then I completely forgot about it. Now I just have to get the state to admit the screwup so I don't have to pay $160. I'm hosed.
  7. No. Letting them go longer between sharpenings means your edges will get dull. If you are having problems with alignment, keep practicing. Your best bet is just to get better, not look for shortcuts or cop-outs.
  8. yeah, a couple times. Didn't change the noise at all. I will bring my portable down as soon as I get my FBV spinner. I have to check the schedule but I think I have four days off next week. And I'll take a couple pair or steel, as well as at least one pair of holders.
  9. One of the guys on my team is going nuts waiting to try the FBV. After one of my goals last week he told me, and everyone within earshot, "I've never seen a fat man move that fast." Obviously I'm in love with it. I've had good luck with my X02 for the most part. I was getting a weird noise while sharpening a pair of Fuels last week though. Pressure and speed didn't matter, as I tried a number of variations. It still put on a great edge with no waves, just an odd noise whole actually doing the sharpening.
  10. C'Mon. Look at the ads, Chadd. They're all Adult Owned and in immaculate condition. Does having mom as a co-signor qualify as adult owned?
  11. Don't we all want an Evo? They are just far too much brand new and you won't find a used one unmolested. Psshh i dont want an evo...i want a wrx sti :P Speaking of not finding a used one that hasn't been run into the ground.
  12. You aren't supposed to be feeling a difference in bite. Think of it this way, you're keeping the bite you had before and getting the extra glide for free. Normally you would lose a lot of that bite in order to get the extra glide. That is a very accurate summation. I was just responding to some of the other posts where folks were saying how they really felt their edges dig in on turns. Perhaps they went to a deeper hollow when the tried the FBV. Getting the extra glide for free is worth it enough for me. One question. Is it okay to hone the skates with a sharpening tool when you have a FBV? Or will it take away from the flatness of the bottom of the balde? I can't see how it would but I just wanted to ask the experts to make sure. Stones are fine but I would avoid things that damage the edges like a sweet stick.

  14. Glad to hear the 90/75 mini spinners are in. Prepare to be swamped by the guys that have the X02s.
  15. Any chance you can explain what the numbers in the 100/75 and 90/75 represent without divulging trade secrets?
  16. He's a member here. I figured he was. The picture from the auction looks just like one I have saved from patterndb.org. I don't think they took any of their own pictures
  17. Yep, bought replacement runners and had Bob do them. I will do the sharpen by mail til I get my machine in the spring. Still deciding if I should get the big or little one. Something tells me you were a bad boy and are not allowed across the boarder.....LOL Oakville isnt that far away? its only and hour and 10 minutes from Buffalo.......Bob is good but if you feel like going for a drive Oakville National can do them for you. 2 hours 20 minutes round trip, plus some time to sharpen skates is a bit of a hassle, not to mention the gas burned on that drive. I'd be mailing them too in his position. Are you saying Canada isnt a nice place to visit???? Thats not nice......LOL Not this time of year, mostly because I'm a wimp. The older I get, the warmer I want it to be. In this case though, it's more cost effective to mail them out and saves a lot of time.

  19. There are so few doing it. Not enough of the retailers have the technology to do it. and if they do we have not had the chance to talk to them about it. Would it not be nice to have a tradeshow where retailers came to so we could show them the new technology. What new technology could there be, they already have a sharpener. Plus it looks just like their kitchen counter.
  20. Looks like you need to put a dealer locator on the website to help people find shops capable of doing the FBV.
  21. Did I show up at the wrong rink? No way I get to that deflection without the FBV.
  22. A lot of us used the FBV tonight at the MSH skate. My personal impression; absolutely amazing. The glide was absolutely amazing, especially considering the fact that I still had as much edge as I could possibly want for stopping or turning. I got to a number of pucks just because of the added speed while gliding. A couple guys were frustrated tonight as they fell in love but there isn't anyone close to them who can provide the FBV.
  23. X02 has an upgraded motor. It will run at a higher rpm.
  24. Nice goal in the shootout for David. Anyone notice that the teams Andy Murray coaches always have injury problems? There's no way it can be a coincidence, it has happened way too many times now.
  25. Missed the first but sitting down now. As with all games, in game discussion should take place in the chat.
