  1. Great looking job with the lamb's wool. Did you sew those into your tongue also, or glue them in? GaGa: Adjusted. ;) Thanks for the heads up.
  2. Dear God!!!!.....you are going to look like a ninja turtle.
  3. The leg thing.....we talkin intentional here, or is that your natural shot/follow through??
  4. It has the grip zone like the rest of the current Response lineup, but it starts lower on the shaft and fades in as opposed to being an abrupt start/stop like on the R8/R6 of the previous year. Shaft shape is reminiscent of the R8 Lite....rounded corners with a slight dual concavity to the shaft. 12K is a specific TPI (threads per inch) carbon weave. Nothing too exciting really, just a different way to weave the carbon for the construction of the stick. Warrior also does it on their blades, but it appears that TPS is doing it throughout the stick. I am going to post the same initial post from this thread in the R10 thread that already exists....so please direct most of your questions there to centralize the discussion. Thanks in advance!! http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...showtopic=36092
  5. Here is my little piece of heaven to show off. I just got hooked up yesterday with a demo TPS R10 Whip Flex in the RH Frolov curve. Here are the pics that I have detailing the stick. Feel free to pop me a handful of questions on it, and I will try and do a comprehensive review on the stick once I get a puck on the tape for a while. ;) http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture378.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture377.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture376.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture375.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture374.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture373.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture372.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture371.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture370.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture369.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture368.jpg
  6. I will....I sent an e mail for approval of the Demo to ensure that it would be ok with the Mods first. Don't want to step on any toes. ;)
  7. I hear you on that one, I think that 9k is a great looking skate because it holds that classic design while adding some style to the skate. I enjoy the change at the rear of the skate, the piece of "bling" on the back of last years 9k killed me, especially when I considered buying the white versions. as for the XXXX's they to me, are the the staple in cheap looking design (esp considering they are made in china). I just cant get my head past that silver design, just to much going on at once... esp the tendon guard (jesus christ is that ugly... not as bad as the ones on my one90's but a chromed out tendon guard thing where the hell did that come from?) edit: the tendon guard on the one95 is a nice step up I couldn't agree with what you said more. I have always appreciated "classic" skates and their simply aestetics....I think that RBK builds on the classic look with a small modern twist.
  8. If I hadn't JUST gotten my new X72's...I'd get those knit ones in a heart beat!!! :(
  9. That RBK 7K conversion you posted there looks kinda familiar.... ;) The combination performs amazingly well. I have been hooked on the 7K ice boots for over a year now, and the Sprung conversion on them is great. For anyone that plays ice in the RBK series.....I would highly recommend this conversion for inline. :D
  10. Been doing that for years, man. The water spray bottle is for when I use a Miraclestone when I'm done sharpening. I learned to turn the nozzle to stream when kids act up - I can snipe them from 20 ft. Combine that tactic.....with your homemade/shopmade skate shank.....and you would have the best behaved group of cherubs ever to peruse a hockey shop. ;)
  11. Here are my RBK 7K's with my dyed Sprung A8's. :) RBK 7K ice boots Sprung Inline Large A8 straight 80mm chassis Rink Rat MB-816 80m 78a wheels BSB Bones Micro Swiss Bearings http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture338.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture339.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff228/s.../Picture340.jpg

  13. Trade it in, do a little more searching.....and grab a couple more of your beloved Flyweights, or R8 pro stocks. ;)
  14. I attended plenty of their games...just moved from about 2 miles from the Ice Palace
  15. 2Way is a BAB.....Big Ass Bitch. :) Nice pics by the way.
  16. Marry the girl.....you found a keeper!!! :D
  17. From the looks of it.....the stretch palm of the XX's is dead? And the stretch will only be carried going forward in the One90 glove?
  18. :P Lovin the TPS.....PUT A BLADE IN IT!!! :P Nice seeing another Compro as I was given the successor to your Evolution in the E2X a few weeks ago to use, demo, and post my feedback on it. What do you think of that Evolution?
  19. I always wonder what those cute little butterflies and angels near the hips/belly will look like after a couple kids though. They'll look like an albatross hovering over a nest of stretch marks and cellulite.
  20. And I quote "Looks like a bullseye". :)
  21. Personally....I feel that the only thing that you should put on your body on a permanent basis should be something that you feel personal about. A tribal arm band is nothing more than an attempt at escalading yourself into a different class...or lack there of. All of my tattoo's I have designed with a sketch pad, and each one took over 6 months to design the finished product. Personally....I never wanted to be out at the beach or otherwise and have some guy point at me and say "HEY!!!....we have the same tattoo."
  22. Being in the hockey deprived area of Asheville.....do you know of an online site that I could pick up a spacer from?
  23. I understand the dremmeling issue to accomodate the taller wheels in the midfoot area. But will I need spacers in the heel to give me the same pitch as I have with the Code 1's??
