Wish I could say the skate went well but I'm not going. Been having BP issiues and it feels like my heart is pounding hard. Like too much adrenaline. Could be anxiety or could be reaction to my increased BP meds. Blood sugar up the last few weeks too since the double vision and the meds (new for me) aren't helping. I'm a mess bro.

Good for you!!!! I hit the gym pretty hard last night and it went well. I am going to try and play tomorrow night!!!

Two and a half weeks ago I developed double vision that a neuro opthamalogost said was a 3rd nerve palsy. They say it is related to diabetes and high BP and that it would take about 3 months to go away. On Sunday morning I woke up and the double vision was gone!!! I am still not 100% as it seems like I get some headaches as my brain is working harder to focus and looking quickly throws things off a bit and I get disoriented but I have to think the worst is behind me and I am on the way to a super fast recovery!!! Hope so!!

@Holmes_D_83 sure has me beat..... you are lucky to be alive after battling sepsis. God bless, my prayers are with you. In my case it's been a rough run.... pulled adductor led to hernia and torn groin. Had hernia surgery and rehabbing the groin and close to coming back last week when I started to get severe headaches and then woke up with double vision. Went to the ER and spent the day in the hospital getting CT scan and MRI. Thankfully the ruled out stroke, aneurysm and brain tumor. Yesterday I was diagnosed with 3rd nerve palsy. That nerve controls muscles in my left eye. They say it should resolve in about 3 months but it's very disorienting and I still have some residual headaches. My team is leaving for Montreal next week Nd I plan The whole thing and now I can't play. WF is three weeks later and there little to no chance I can skate at that. Two season on two teams playing a total of 3 games at a cost of over 1200 bucks. Driving is hard.... I'm really out of sorts and this really sucks. Oh, and I have to wear a patch or glasses with a fogged lenses to avoid seeing double. FML

The IW and Bauer bag both look like solid performers... I have owned like a zillion bags ad for me simpler is best so now I go with a pro style bag like Warrior. Both my MSH bags are pro style, I have a Warrior (thanks to MSH!!!!) and a custom JRZ we had made up for our team. Only thing I added for the JRZ was an extra valuables pocket. Works perfectly. Most important thing to remember about a bag is this... NO WHEELS!!!!

Infinite pairs!!! Just put them in the garage by the tools... she won't even know they are there!

Yesterday my younger son graduated high school. He was class president and as a result led the graduation ceremony. He led everyone in, introduced everyone and gave a speech representing the class. We had VIP seats in the first row. It was maybe the best day of my life. He was incredible - and I am not just saying that because he is my son. He was poised, in command of the situation and funny. I don't know how someone who is only 18 can do that. I am beyond proud and humbled.

It reminds me of the S17.....

One of my best friends was injured recently by a 20 something who came all the way down the ice and blasted him against the boards behind the net. Guy even left his feet on the hit. My buddy is out for months with a separated shoulder - and he is a surgeon!!!! The asshat who did it gets one game and the league will not even discuss it with is.

I hate that guy!

Just picked up new custom team bags for our hockey team... between the custom soakers, team floor mats, toiletry bags and now bags we look like a bloody NHL team!! If only we could start winning again... JRZ Hockey did these for us!

I am going to be trying FBV for the first time this weekend. As my skates have always been sharpened at 3/8 ROH I will be using 100/75.

I loved those... my favorite skates I have worn.

A guy I started playing hockey with about 15 years ago passed away last night - heart attack. He had two daughters in college. While I haven't played with him in many, many years and really wasn't particularly close I can't help but be shaken. Not only is it a tragedy on its own, I can't help but be reminded of my own mortality. RIP Alex Milman. You had a great passion for the game, you were a good guy and you will be missed.
