Havent skated in them yet. Just delivered today.

They have the extra layer of composite, and the felt tounge....yes both custom. They were custom made in Canada for some pro. Stiffer, more protective, and WAY more durable. Got them on ebay (after 10% ebay discount coupon) for $400. Same as my s15's.
-
I have had my custom pro S15's for almost 2-1/2 years, and they are still doing great. Found some custom pro S17's for a great price....couldnt resist.
-
Thanks! S15's are going on 2 years 4 months. Still in great shape!

Sorry to hear about the mix up, but your bank absolutely cant change that information. The direct deposit came in from a third party with incorrect info, so they must send it back by law. If you e-filed, you might want to check what you put in for the routing number to see if it was correct. Not your banks fault one bit. It was either you or the IRS.

Stella's recovery is going better than we could have expected. She never had to wear a collar as the left she affected areas alone. She was on pain killers for only 2 days, and got back to her cheerful self by the 3rd day. The jaw is healing perfectly, and when her mouth is closed you can hardly tell anything was done. Her jaw is a bit shorter and more narrow, and her tounge hangs out sometimes, but someone who didnt know her before, likely wouldnt think anything was wrong. When she opens her mouth it is more noticable....with alot of teeth and jawbone gone. But the best news of all is that we got back the biopsy results on the tissue and bone removed, and they had very good margins....meaning they GOT ALL THE CANCER!!!! :)

Best bands that you're not listening to.

Cant talk about canadian bands without mentioning I Mother Earth Rush Triumph Tragically Hip -
Thanks! It does sound like a lot...and it is for sure. But it doesnt affect how the jaw itself functions at all. She is just missing those teeth and the bone they were in. I will post pictures to illustrate when she gets home. It really wont look as bad as you might think. She will likely look little different with the mouth closed, and look like a hockey player when she smiles :)
-
No, there is no artificial bone. There is no need for it, as my dog doesnt spend much time in the mirror. JK ;) There will be very little evidence anything is different when her mouth is closed....except her tounge may flop out a little. She will still have 3 canines, and all molars, so she will have no issues eating any type of food. We have to giver her soft food for 2 weeks until she heals, but then it is all back to noral.
-
From the Venting Spot to the Sweet Spot. My dog Stella sucessfully underwent surgery to remove part of her jaw in an attempt to remove cancer. They took out her bottom jawbone and teeth (all front incisors, one eye-tooth, and back to her pre-molars on one side) :o She is resting at the hospital, and getting some really good doggy pain drugs :) We will find out in 5-7 days when we get back the results of the examination of the tissue, if we got all the cancer. I cant wait to pick her up tomorrow.

Dont you think that the kids will likely retaliate more if their house is egged? That is like declaring war. I would actually think getting the third parties (parents) involved will introduce some stronger consequences if it escalates. That is just me speaking as a semi-rational adult with kids. But as a teenager, I would have absolutely egged their house....and their car for good measure.

Didnt file the claim properly? Or didnt get insurance to properly cover the child in the first place?

haha, thanks it was either between a husky or nova scotia duck tolling retriever (search it up! :P ) but there was a 6month old husky (looks like mine with a cuter puppy face but w/ blue eyes) at the local humane society but she had a genetic defect that makes her back knee's unable to lock up, surgery would have cost $2000+ without the rehab money, we just couldn't afford it, so kinda guilty conscience we went and bought a husky It is costing us probably in the ballpark of $2500 for the whole thing. The initial tumor removal and biopsy, the tests and xrays, and the eventual surgery and examination of the removed tissue and bone. They will be removing a large part of her lower left jaw. That doesnt include radiation if they dont get all the cancer. We arent doing all that well financially the moment (we will be in a very good position starting in about a year)....but $2500 is peanuts when it comes to saving the life of my Stella. I would lay out 10 grand in a heartbeat. .......but why do I fight my gearwhore desires and deny myself more than one of each piece of equipment? The bills for our aussie were about $10k and I would throw in another $10k just to have her a little while longer. I feel ya man. When we brought home our first child from the hospital, we were worried about how Stella would react. We said from the beginning....if Stella has a problem with our infant daughter, then she is going to have to go.....and I meant our daughter would have to go. This whole thing has really made me acutely aware of her mortality, and it sucks.
