  1. Pancake...Not a huge fan of beer....I do drink and enjoy it occassionally. But if you are, and it sounds like you are...that sounds like a sweet set-up! Speaking of beer....we had a team party for the Cup finals, and the Captain brought over some beer. He is Jewish, and so are his linemates...they call themselves the "Wandering Jews" line. He brought over a couple six packs of "He'Brew....The Chosen Beer" beer.....the flavors were "Genesis Ale" and "Messiah Bold"
  2. My adult league hockey team is now in sole possesion of first place. Last February we were the new team in the C2 league, and the only games we won were against the team that was 0-37 before we got there. Last night we beat the team we were tied for first with 7-1. We absolutely destroyed them offensively and shut them down defensively. Our goalie said he wanted to order wings and beer he was so bored. On top of that I scored two goals (even better because I am a defenseman). One a coast to coast and one a nice shot from the point. Feeling great today :) AND I am leaving tomorrow for Boston to see my wife and 2 daughters (3yrs and 3 months old) after 2-1/2 weeks! She is a teacher and has the summer off, and went to Boston on vacation with the girls to her parents house. I had to stay due to a blackout at work as we are converting an entire national bank into an even bigger one. I miss my girls and am psyched to see them :)
  3. And instrumentally they are incredible. Some very intricate progressive movements, time signatures, and melodys. First saw them with Dream Theater, and was very impressed.
  4. Opeth...mostly their stuff with clean vocals. Listen to "Hex Omega" on the CD "Watershed". Amazing.
  5. Yeah....saw that after I finished my post. You know it will still sell like crazy.
  6. So basically the E-Pro is exactly the same Pro 4 roll glove I already have? (EDIT...just saw above post....too bad, my pro 4 roll eastons are f-ing great...but you know these will sell like hotcakes as they look just like the pro models) Is there an ETA for the skates to be at LHS's?
  7. But the swoosh on the sneaker originates from the same exact point on the sneaker, on both sides. So technically, the swoosh should originate from the same point on each glove, which it does. The issue you have is that you can only see the the shoes from one direction, with the corresponding swoosh in the same direction. But if you reverse the shoe, like with the gloves, the swoosh is indeed going the other way. As far as the swoosh on the tounge, the swoosh there is part of the nike word logo, and that remains constant no matter where it is located. Wow...pretty in depth conversation for such a trivial thing, right?....LOL. ;)
  8. So true GaGa......it is only a matter of time until I have some PPF's. Not an if, just a when. Also, I will likely be doing custom 0ne95 skates through JR. I figure that will be about a grand......I will skim it off the tax return so my wife doesnt know! ;) But I can honestly say that I havent seen, felt, or used anything that I would use in place of my helmet, pants, elbows, and shins. Cant see a reason to replace those unless something amazing comes out.
  9. I dont know a lot about sticks, but these are pro stock one piece sticks. If by taping the hosel you mean the small bit of tape above the blade, those are just covering where there are chips out of the stick, in an attempt to keep the chips from getting bigger. Thanks....I was bored....a good way to feel like Im getting new gear without actually getting new gear!!!! LOL :) I have had a few positive comments on them at the rink. If I had a dollar for every time I've said..."I'm done buying gear" Hence the caveat "for now" ;)
  10. I am finally content (for now) with what I have:
  11. I personally have enough mental agility to worry about several things at once. Appearance, skill, family, work, health, what I m going to eat for lunch, etc. I guess it is different for you. But thanks for asking......now go back to watching NASCAR.
  12. I really like the way the one95s look, but one of the things I really like about the s15 is that even with the black laces and holders, there is still some of the silver to balance it out. I think if I got the one95's, I would keep the holder white. Maybe.
  13. LOL. True. But I go shins over the tounge anyway.
  14. Just dyed holders on my custom s15's
  15. Replaced a lot of equipment, so here is a more up to date list: Skates: Easton Custom Pro s-15's Helmet: Easton s-9 with NBH 9500 cage Pants: NikeBauer Vapor XV with Tackla Shell Shoulders: Easton s-9 Elbows: Jofa 5044 Shins : RBK/Jofa 9k Gloves: Easton Pro Stock Synergy 4-rolls Sticks: Easton Pro Stock Synergys Bag: Fury
  16. Here.......http://cgi.ebay.com/Pro-Return-Easton-Custom-Hockey-Gloves-SENATORS-14_W0QQitemZ400001681442QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
  17. I have seen some Eastons on ebay in Blackhawk and Devils colors.....which could work for you.
  18. CycloneTaylor doesnt have those gloves anymore. They were a returned order form a team, and the only ones left are the leather version. They dont have anymore nylons left. If you call them or email them, they will emsil you a pic of what the have left. I dont think the leather versions are all black either, but check anyway. a guy is selling a pair of those on ebay, for $99 but he has like over $22 for shipping.

  20. New equipment. Slowly upgrading everything now that I know I will be playing for a while. New MSH Bag, New Easton Gloves, and 9k Shins.
  21. I disagree. People usually have side motivations when donating to charity. Publicity, tax write-offs, etc. Those other motivations are facts of life, and shouldnt be judged. Purely altruistic and anonymous donations are rare. If someone doesnt have enough money to donate, but can if they can justify it by offsetting the cost with the stick, then it is good for everybody. It seems Easton did the donating and real charity....but dont think for an instant that they didnt have ulterior motives too. Product visibility, corporate good-will, and you can be damn sure they took the write-off on their taxes. Some had the $85 go to charity that would never have had the inclination or funds to donate. Ulterior motives are everywhere, but you need to look at the positives (and I dont see any negatives in this case) that kids got toys. Apologies if I started up an old arguement. Wont bring it up or respond again. Just my two cents.
  22. The motivation behind a charitable donation doesnt matter, as long as it benefits the ones in need. If you think that makes someone a loser, or that they have their priorities messed up, well.....I can only ask what the weather is like way up there on that pedestal. Charity is Charity from the viewpoint of the needy.
  23. Lots of posts about that over the years. I know. I searched MIA and saw a ton of pages, but couldnt find anything regarding what they are in any definitive sense. It was all a bit vague. But thanks to those you informed me completely, and my apologies for the hijack.
  24. OK. Thanks. At least now I know it doesnt mean "Made In America"...LOL
