I'm a big fan of just respecting other people and the fact a lot of us have to get up and go to work, class, or be with our families the next day. I got tripped a couple nights ago with the puck and was playing it in a sitting position on the ice trying to make a pass, all of the sudden something smashes into the back of my helmet/neck. I couldn't see what it was, but next thing I knew two of my teammates zip past me and put someone onto the ice. Apparently the guy who had tripped me also decided I shouldn't have a head and two handed me from behind across the back of my head. The guy ended up apologizing, but only after my teammates had threatened to put him in the hospital.

Between periods, after this kid had stolen maybe 6 passes in his own end because of the stick tapping combined with the deceptive shirt color, we called one of the refs over and talked to him about it. He went over and talked to the kid and his team... he came back and his response was something along the lines of, "they don't have any other white jerseys for him to wear, and you guys aren't really wearing matching jerseys either..." Maybe he didn't get the idea that we were all in black, and with the exception of their one player, they were all in white. We even had one of our guys offer to give him a white t-shirt. No dice... Busch-League

I play in a roller league run by Robert Morris University for local colleges in the Western PA area. My team is completely funded by individual fundraisers conducted by the club, and we're currently waiting on jerseys from SubliTwill to be finished and delivered. For the games until then we've informed the league and the other teams that we will be wearing black practice jerseys. I tell that story to tell this one. The team we played last night is also in the same boat we are, waiting on jerseys to be finished and delivered. They have taken to wearing white practice jerseys until they are. Well, apparently one of their players didn't get the memo, or is too much of a prick to go get a $10 white practice jersey. He wore a deep purple/ navy blue jersey last night, making him look really close to one of our players in our black jerseys. Beyond that, anytime we were in the offensive zone this moron was tapping his stick on the court. I don't normally have a problem with this, but the fact he was basically wearing jerseys identical to ours was a joke. I hate being, "that guy," but every time I was on the floor with this tool I made sure he knew exactly how Busch-League his antics were, eventually goading him into taking a roughing penalty. Kid had no respect for the game, or our team, and I think, in this case, the verbal abuse he took from myself and a few others on my bench was well warranted.

Sykora Unused E-Pros from 2008 Camp... These were given to him just before his customs with the short cuff came in... I was looking more for the short cuffed ones, but these are still excellent gloves, and in my team's colors, even better! Sorry for the picture quality, my camera is not behaving.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had the money to splurge on a pair, but the new shins, elbows, shoulders, and sticks I've treated myself to this summer have really cut into the funds... Nice pick-up though

Where does one find a pair of those elbows. Those are perfect. I got mine off eBay a couple months ago, but there aren't any there right now. Try searching eBay, and using Google every once in a while... occasionally a pair will pop up.

...and to support the neat factor of Jofa gloves. The black and white ones are beauties :) The Tampa Bay pair are cool too, but those other ones just look really sharp. Very nice

Finally Completed my JOFA protective kit: 8090 Shins, 5066 Elbows, 8800/8k Shoulders Still Looking for some gloves, that may prove difficult.

The shaft is a bit concave, but not too much. This was my big-buy for the summer. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the way the stick performed on the ice, after a few shots I had the curve tamed. If these all break I'll definitely have custom blades made to match it.

From a guy with big calves (catching from the time i was 8 to present...21) to another guy with big calves. They fit surprisingly well. I was hesitant about them because all the reviews said they fit smaller, but with the adjustable calf wrap they have a custom fit and really feel good.

I went on the second day, so a majority of the stuff seemed to be picked over; the selection of gloves and shin pads in particular were picked thin. But, there was a very nice selection of sticks at reasonable prices. Also, I was suprisingly able to haggle the price of the shinguards down because they were one of the last pairs left in my size. Overall I thought it was definitely worth the hour drive to get there.

Not the Reebok/Jofa Shins I was looking for, but they were only $50 after some negotiation at the Hockeyworld Sale. They fit great and offer me mobility that I simply could not get in my RBK Shin Pads.

Cobra, how are the new Reebok shins? I'll be looking at them at the Hockeyworld sale tomorrow, but an opinion from someone who owns a pair would be nice.

You guys are giving me the MSH gear whoring syndrome. I haven't even gotten a paycheck from my summer job yet, and I'm starting to allocate the money I'm going to get towards gear I want, but don't really need. I just hope the Penguins have their equipment sale this year... gloves, socks, and pants/shell are all on my list.

Beauties, I'm hoping to find a pair of XXXXs at the equipment sale. I know Malkin's gear probably won't be available, but I'm holding out hope for a pair of Kunitz's gloves. :)
