  1. Love it! Our team has the Habs "C" jerseys in blue as our main ones. Everything stitched on them and everything. I was considering the barbershop jerseys but I'm still not sure if it counts as a dark or light jersey! a few years ago one of the AAA level adult teams in our league used the Ottawa 67 jerseys because they wouldn't have to worrying about clashing with anyone. :)
  2. nice Tacklas too! you look SHARP!!!! :)
  3. I still have a pair of these brand new sitting in my basement. still working my way through Bauer 8's that also has that perforated steel. hate having to blow the ice out after every game. I recently bought a pair of NB Vapor XXXX's that are so much lighter though. I might end up selling the 10's.
  4. my first pair of portofino Eagle (pre-Vaughn buy-out) PPFi gloves in my favorite color, maroon: found on Ebay for $100 shipped! :o
  5. it was the right call but I was shocked that the lineman actually went over and called it. you almost never see that in the NHL.
  6. Cookie got in a good punch or two but I don't know if there was a winner or a loser of this one. at least now, looking at this video I understand why Kovy went at him:
  7. they actually LET you in the IceForum while the Pens were practicing???? I'm shocked! quite a change from Crosby's rookie year...... where did you see this video? the only one I saw had Cooke getting better shots in during the fight. I never did see what started the whole thing off.
  8. I would think those are from the NCAA Skills Challenge. I know one place was selling RBK pants from that event.
  9. how much was the upcharge?
  10. nice! how difficult was it to get the stripes done that way?
  11. just remember that if you go with a design like the pro stocks that Warrior almost always stitched the front "stripes" with white thread for some reason. nothing a navy sharpie couldn't fix though.
  12. nice! LOVE the green cuff!
  13. more stuff I acquired recently: Easton S9 Pro helmet: got this from a recent Thrashers mini gear sale. practically brand new condition. pretty sure it was Erik Christensen's Marc Savard's Eagle CP94 gloves: previous owner had them repalmed with an MSH2 palm.
  14. here's what I've aquired recently: new mitts: Black Eagle PPFi new sticks, all pro stock: top: Warrior Dolo Spyne Sean Avery (yes, his sloppy seconds ;) ) middle: Warrior Starskie Willie Mitchell bottom: Easton S17 Colin Stuart
  15. 5 rolls? are they 15 inch gloves? quite nice. I always loved the eggplant. what's the palm?
  16. everything except for the Kovy. an MSH member contacted me MONTHS ago asking me for this. I told him, "I don't know man, last year they only had one or two of his sticks and they were gone almost instantly but I'll keep an eye out." I was very happy I was able to do this for him. originally I was just going to get the used Perrin but I decided to get back in line and was able to talk myself into the Enstrom. "$75 for a $190 stick? it's a bargain!" lol! obviously I can't wear that many socks but when I posted my stuff here last year EVERYBODY was trying to buy my socks. I don't plan on "making money" on them, I just want to spread the love. :) hey Machinehead, were those Hnidy gloves the ones that were all or mostly carbon?
  17. my haul from the Thrashers sale: new Kovalchuk Warrior. bought this for a fellow MSHer: I agree that the Kovy sticks, especially the used ones were WAY overpriced. I got the new one for $75. the used ones, including some of his Innovative sticks from the first few years were going for $100. :o I also got several pairs of home and away socks that I'll be offering up for sale at some point: used stick already taped is an Eric Perrin SE16, new stick is a Tobias Enstrom SE16: I was *this close* to pulling the trigger on a pair of Todd White Warrior gloves and then said no at the last minute. they had brand new Hossa Mission gloves but I wasn't confident I could make my money back if I bought them and re-sold them.
  18. my very first pair of Eagle PPFi gloves. used them for the first time last night at practice. can't get over how awesome the palm is. :) they are lying on top of my team's jersey, Plymouth Whalers alternate jersey.
  19. lol! I saw those and thought the same thing!. being a Penguins fan I'll be protesting the fact that I've been drafted onto a team called the Flyers by wearing the most obnoxious pair of gloves I own: though maybe one week I'll wear these:
  20. if you mean the ones between the Oilers and Team USA socks they're not red, they're orange. I *think* those are socks from Little Caesers travel hockey. for Rec league I just got drafted on to a team with orange jerseys so I'll definitely be rockin' those for the next few months! :)
  21. I've been meaning to post pictures of my hockey sock collection. I have no idea how it got this big! some socks are generic NHL socks but I've got plenty of hard-to-find socks as well. I have a few more pairs but these are the most interesting ones.
  22. try hockeyone.com the cat say they have all the pro colors and specs but they want $159.99 per pair. that's hockey1.com I believe. hockeyone.com is a completely different site and doesn't have near as much cool stuff.
  23. been meaning to post my new shins: I've used them for about 2 or 3 games and I love them! I wear a size 13 which most manufacturers size as junior pads. Bauer and Warrior size them as seniors. I've been wearing Bauer One90's but felt they were a little bulky in the lower leg. these Warrior Hustlers are just right. :)
  24. I have the same problem. I started in a pair of 13 inch Jofa's, maybe the 2000? they were great but I ended up with a lot of bruises from blocking shots. unfortunately most companies consider 13 inch a junior size. Bauer and Warrior are the exceptions. I've been skating in Bauers for the last several seasons but wasn't completely happy because of how bulky the shins were near the bottom. I just recently got a pair in the new Warrior Hustlers and I love them! much more narrow at the bottom. I could probably go back to tongues-out if I wanted.
