what did they mess up? they got something slightly wrong on mine. I was supposed to have silver as the outline color but they did white instead. I still liked it so I just kept the gloves they sent.

hmmm...what material are you going with for the white? I like the last one best but I'd have concerns about keeping all that white clean.....

personally I find the silver carbon a little too flashy. I did it on my first pair of customs: for my second pair (made to replace the first pair after I decided I should've upsized rather than downsized) I went with leather (classic) for the silver rather than the carbon. I'm 1000% happier with it: I have since blacked out the white stitching on the black carbon stripe. re-edited with picture sized correctly. sorry about that mods. when I previewed it the pic wasn't that big.

I thought so too at first but it feels different than the others, softer and not as thick. I dunno, maybe it's a mind trick.

well, hell...thought I had my answer....I'll try to get a pic up tonight or tomorrow. edit: pic inserted looking at it it's not as grey as I thought. it's really more white. is it just a single layer version of the micronash combo? it seems softer than that to me.......

I don't really know. I bought them "off the rack" from Pure Hockey for $50. it's a different palm from all my other MIAs and Franchises. some kind of single-layer palm?

no, really. I have both so I should know but maybe I shouldn't say "even better".....they are just as soft as MSH2 but without that "slickness" that some people (not me) don't like. I don't play in them too much though so I'm willing to bet the durability isn't as good as MSH2. probably won't find out for a REALLY long time. :)

you should feel the palms. even better than MSH2. in tufftek they wouldn't be so flashy. :)

I think the narrows provide a nice snug fit and the new "blooming cuff" allows for a little more wrist mobility than older versions, imo. I wasn't sure I'd like the blooming cuff but I do.

I went back and forth with the black and silver stripes. I wanted the inside stripe to be carbon though and judging from my MIAs that have carbon silver stripes (see below) I was afraid it would be too flashy if I went with black classic on the pinky and silver carbon on the inside stripe.

yeah, it was my "minor" special request. I wanted that raised look. the cuff name wasn't a problem because silver is a stitch color option on the customizer but maroon is not. so glad they were able to make it happen. :)

Fedex dropped off my custom Franchises today: I plan on using a fabric marker to do away with the white stitching...

I'm not sure you overpaid. you didn't get a bargain but you paid a fair price for that jersey, imo. I was watching that auction and considered bidding but went after a pair of MIA gloves instead. I'd pay that much and more if I could find a Thailand jersey. *cough cough*

I doubt that you'd really notice the difference in weight. non checking has nothing to do with it. in non-checking leagues, in my experience anyway I think you get slashed MORE. I get whacked a lot on faceoffs and I LOVE the plastic inserts on my Eagle PPFi's.

yeah, that is an insanely good deal considering it includes the pro pack foams, name on the cuff and shipping. I paid the extra for the pro style (Kovy style in my own colors) and number on the thumb. some guys are getting their gloves in less than 2 weeks! :o

I hate sharpening skates with those damn drive shaft things. makes it hard to get them in the skate holder.
