  1. wow. just. wow. http://www.hockeymonkey.com/eagle-hockey-gloves-m70.html I'm thinking of having my hands lengthened so that these would fit. ;)
  2. oh love to have those pants............ you can: http://www.thehockeyshop.com/Merchant2/mer...Pants_Player_Sr
  3. dude, those are SWEET!!!! how did you get them to do the pinky stripe?
  4. certainly not in this case. there's no way that thing is even remotely legal. the only thing I've ever seen even close to it was on a tour of the Thrashers practice facility several years ago I picked up a stick off the rack with a wicked curve (even worse than Hossa's) and asked Don Waddell, "who's stick is THIS??" and he responded, "that's Kovalchuk's. we can't get him to use a legal curve."
  5. you know it's not really a Hossa curve, right? when the Thrashers had their equipment sale last month they had brand new Hossa Warrior sticks for $50 a piece. I picked it up, looked at the curve and put it right back down again. the hook on the toe was almost a right angle! no way I'd be able to play with that thing!
  6. I'm shocked that any of our LHS actually had one. :o
  7. there's a local company that has a decent price and good selection of the retail variety: http://www.hockeyjerseysdirect.com/hjd/rbk-edgesocks.asp
  8. I KNEW I should've picked up the whole stack! I could've too. there were probably about 50 pairs of each. don't know how I lucked up on the 54 practice jersey and yes, it's rather....form fitting. :o
  9. I've thought about selling the MIAs. they're awesome gloves, tufftek with the outside stripes being carbon and the middle stripe is leather. palms are micro-nash, I believe. very soft. unfortunately for me I'm kind of an in between size. these are 13" gloves. depending on maker I can wear everything from a 11 1/2" to a 13". I played one or two shifts with them so they're basically brand new. I keep trying to convince myself that I can make them work.
  10. as promised here are the pics: sticks: Pro Stock Warrior Dolomite - Jeff Tambellini (very similar to the Lidstrom curve) Pro Stock Easton S17 - Colin Stuart (hardly used, similar to Lidstrom curve, bought for $10 at the Thrashers gear sale) not pictured: Easton Stealth and the infamous green Synergy ST Thrashers practice jerseys, brand new $25 each: size 56 Hunter Green and size 54 Orange Thrashers RBK Edge socks, $2 a pair!: my glove collection: the maroon Easton Airs are my favorites. the MIAs are awesome but a little bit too big for me. oops! edited because I got the sizes of the practice jerseys backwards.
  11. lol! sorry fellas but I only got one pair of each. I'll be trying them out on Sunday and I'll keep you guys in mind just in case I don't like them. I had heard that they wouldn't velcro to a jock but they seem like they're holding good. and yes, you did have to be a season ticket holder to go but I have several friends who are season ticket holders who couldn't go because of the jewish holiday. I was more than happy to step in. :)
  12. I must say that the glove selection at the Thrashers sale was pretty poor. I got both home and away RBK Edge socks for $2 a pair (considered picking up the whole stack to sell on Ebay but decided not to be greedy), an orange and a green RBK practice jersey for $25 brand new and......a barely used Easton S17 stick for $10, a $200 stick!!!! I considered getting an unused Hossa Warrior for $50 but when I saw the curve on the end of that thing I knew I'd never be able to actually use it. I'll post pics of my stash later.
  13. I've seen a few in the local beer league. one guy even did the mix and match color thing. the main color is white, the back panel is red and the guy put little blue stars all over the top. we call him Captain America.
