  1. is that the Warrior pro bag and if so, how do you like it?
  2. I had a pair of those Thrasher MIA gloves. sold'em to a friend who plays in Lower AA to finance a pair of Warrior Franchise customs. tried to sell them here but people kept bailing on me. also had a pair of Thrasher pants, brand new with the tags attached. bought'em for $50, decided it was more protection than I needed so I sold them on Ebay. they ended up going for $250! :o
  3. don't remember but yeah, sounds right.
  4. new toys: new Pro Stock Mission Intake VN helmet: "new" MIA gloves with pro plastic inserts in Penguins colors. all Tufftek except for the gold carbon stripe: bought the gloves off a guy on another board for $50 and had them repalmed.
  5. Dupes, those are SWEET! soooo jealous! :)
  6. I usually bid in the last 10 seconds but sometimes if I'm interested in something but know that I won't be home when the auction ends I'll bid in advance and just decide then how much I'm willing to pay for it. if somebody beats me out then they wanted it more than I did.
  7. she may be a girl but she's a better hockey player than any of us will EVER be. :)
  8. thanks. I can't wait to try them out in my game tomorrow night!
  9. look what the UPS man left on my front porch! Warrior got these done FAST! when I ordered the expected ship date from Montreal was 5/26! :D
  10. give that man a prize!
  11. I just lucked up I guess. I was cruising HockeyGiant's site for ref skates for my gf and noticed these were on clearance AND they had them in my size. I snapped up 2 pairs. :D
  12. the Fedex man dropped these off yesterday: nothing custom on them but the real thing to show off is the price I paid for them: $129 US
  13. SWEET mitts! I'm waiting on mine. did they arrive before the date that they sent you in the email?
  14. picked up from Pure Hockey for $50: when I emailed them they told me they were 12 inch gloves but when they got here they were 13". I guess it's a good thing that I wear a 12 1/2 and can go with either size.
  15. that is DEFINITELY a Kovy curve. pretty sure I've already told that story about picking one up to look at while in the Thrashers practice facility.
  16. wow. just. wow. http://www.hockeymonkey.com/eagle-hockey-gloves-m70.html I'm thinking of having my hands lengthened so that these would fit. ;)
  17. oh love to have those pants............ you can: http://www.thehockeyshop.com/Merchant2/mer...Pants_Player_Sr
  18. dude, those are SWEET!!!! how did you get them to do the pinky stripe?
  19. certainly not in this case. there's no way that thing is even remotely legal. the only thing I've ever seen even close to it was on a tour of the Thrashers practice facility several years ago I picked up a stick off the rack with a wicked curve (even worse than Hossa's) and asked Don Waddell, "who's stick is THIS??" and he responded, "that's Kovalchuk's. we can't get him to use a legal curve."
  20. you know it's not really a Hossa curve, right? when the Thrashers had their equipment sale last month they had brand new Hossa Warrior sticks for $50 a piece. I picked it up, looked at the curve and put it right back down again. the hook on the toe was almost a right angle! no way I'd be able to play with that thing!
  21. I'm shocked that any of our LHS actually had one. :o
  22. there's a local company that has a decent price and good selection of the retail variety: http://www.hockeyjerseysdirect.com/hjd/rbk-edgesocks.asp
  23. I KNEW I should've picked up the whole stack! I could've too. there were probably about 50 pairs of each. don't know how I lucked up on the 54 practice jersey and yes, it's rather....form fitting. :o
  24. I've thought about selling the MIAs. they're awesome gloves, tufftek with the outside stripes being carbon and the middle stripe is leather. palms are micro-nash, I believe. very soft. unfortunately for me I'm kind of an in between size. these are 13" gloves. depending on maker I can wear everything from a 11 1/2" to a 13". I played one or two shifts with them so they're basically brand new. I keep trying to convince myself that I can make them work.
