I kind of like the later model Pontiac GTO's. Rear wheel drive, and V8 power. A local guy has done a 'little' work to his. Turbocharged it and a couple weeks ago went a 9.85 @ 142 in the quarter, lol. It's still driven on the street as well. He's now in the process of going to a larger turbocharger, so things may get interesting.

Most stuff is fairly new as I made some equipment changes. Am very pleased with the skates. Got them at about 1/2 of what they usually seem to sell for. They were some Avery custom returns. I'd tried on some size 9 G3's and took the gamble that these would not be much different even being customs. Thankfully they fit perfectly. It's taken some time to break them in seeing how I only am on the ice once a week.

Just had a racer from Ames, IA win $3K for 5 rounds of racing as he took the win at Pinks Arm Drop Live. Here's a photo of Dan Richardson leaving the starting line at Cedar Falls Raceway on Saturday. I just did a new 1.80 Powerglide transmission for his BBC Chevy II which runs well into the 9's and normally he slows it to run the 9.90 NHRA Super Gas class.

I'll post up my report once I have them and give them a try this weekend. I hope they'll fit and do what I want. Mainly play adult drop-in with some occasional tournaments. Thus I don't need a set to stop a 100 mph slapshot. I'd rather have a set that gives decent protection but allows more movement than I get any which way I've tried to use the current 14" ones. I got a pair of 14" Jofa's that I didn't care for the fit and sold them for what I had into them. The Eastons fit better for me in that case. With any luck this will be different; time will tell.

Very nice. I've debated over getting tubes instead of my Denon AVR to power my Klipsch stuff. The problem is the good amps are expensive and the wife would shoot me. Interesting fact that we share some common interests; biking, A/V, and hockey. If you also shared one other passion you could have a MAK-90 ready for when the cops arrive, lol! :o

I believe so. Just happened to jump on eBay and found them nearly right when they got listed. The seller emailed back right away and said he'd never sold anything so quickly on eBay, lol. I just got lucky to be there at the right time. I should have them here by early next week.

Just grabbed these... $110 shipped. Virtually brand new. I'll for sure hang onto my black PPF's and these... not sure if I'll keep the RBK Pro Tack Red Wings I just got though now... for sure will let the G700 Graf's go now as I don't need that many pairs, lol. Love the fit/feel of the PPF's!

Looks like it was removed for some reason I noticed that also. But it appears he didn't use the pad for some reason. At least it looks to be missing in all the pictures I found before I bought them. The pants were Draper's.

Will do. I'm happy with the G700 Grafs but wanted to try Jofa/RBK out. Our drop-in starts up here 3 weeks from tomorrow so I'll try to post up some thoughts after that outing with them. Probably will be selling the G700 shoulder pads and G700 gloves, and also the Easton S7 elbows and S7 shins.

Was going to snipe a set of Jofa 8400's on eBay but I think they're a bit too big for me. Someone will get them though I'm sure; they look to be in great shape. Instead I have these coming early next week. I think they'll be as good as the Jofa's but will fit me better:

Apparantly none of you use the free snipe sites, huh? ;) Figure out what the max is you're willing to pay... enter it... and usually anywhere from 5-8 seconds before the auction ends your bid is placed. Some pay snipe sites push the window down closer but there are those I know who've lost out due to trying to use a snipe bid under 3-5 seconds.

Bingo! Got brave and did what I wanted to do after thinking about it for 10 minutes, lol. Perfect color match. Permanent yellow on the lettering and logo and also blacked out the white stripe along the back of the gloves. Hawkeye fan? C'mon man. Haha. Good God... tell me you're not a 'Clones fan! Actually we're UNI faithful but also follow the Hawks. And the Waterloo Black Hawks. ;)
