Last Sunday night at drop-in...
-
Wow, hope all works out well for you.
-
I believe this to be an internet-wide issue, lol.
-
Merry Christmas to me! I already had the brand new gloves. Stumbled upon the also brand new Warrior lowers which buttoned right up to the old trusty Draper Tackla upper pads. Interesting that he doesn't care for the padded belt area; the Tackla lowers also had just belt loops as do the new Warriors.

Taken a few weeks ago at an alumni game. Was on the "blue" team in the "over 35" age game. Wore the old school 703's and this was the only time I've used the retro PPF's I had laying around.
-
Just snagged these brand new Abdelkader XXXX's :) Been using these Williams ones and they are a great glove for me in terms of fit and mobility so I grabbed the others when I saw them available. Now I need to seriously look at what I have for gloves and thin the herd, lol.

Finally getting it all back together after the broken left fibula/surgery/plate and 4 screws back in mid Jan. Had a 2-goal 1-assist game Sun night and things just felt "good" again. Best part was the team I subbed for won 5-0 against the 1st place team.

Jan 13th... broken left fibula and surgery to put in a plate/4 screws. During the summer/early fall... sprained right SI joint... tonight... back on the ice for my first game in over 9 1/2 months! Finally. Had my legs taken out from under me early in the game so the worries left right away then, lol. Now it's going to take some time to get back into the swing of things.

Crappy day today 3x over. First, a pal since high school days is now under hospice care with cancer and will likely not make it a week. He and the wife have their own 2 older kids out of the house, and then have 2 young ones which they adopted after becoming foster parents and not wanting to part with them. Secondly, today would've been my dad's birthday. We lost him 5 years ago. Thirdly, the frigging Packers give away another game. Tomorrow has to be better.

Simply awesome!
-
For what those are already bid up to I'll pass. I did see them listed though. :)
-
Ditto the clutch fan as a cause. Very common issue.
-
Well, thanks to Mr. Harte... another family addition has been made, lol. Here's all 6 of the Wings members...
-
Nice! Would love to get a nicer road bike too. But... egads... if the wife even had half of an idea how much I have into the mountain bike alone... about what retail is on your new ride... ha ha. Eventually I'd like to go carbon fiber on the road too. Probably a Giant as well. Good bang for the buck. Enjoy!!!

Went to a public skate today. Managed to get around reasonably well finally. Still have a bit of pain in the left ankle/foot but it's not unbearable. Oh... and on Friday I managed to break the big toe on my right foot. Nothing like wanting to get back on the ice with TWO sore feet, lol. Took the 10 yr old daughter along too so it was a good time for both of us to hit the ice. Mountain bike ride with her on tap this afternoon.

Brian and I have decided we can outfit a Wings team. With his gloves and mine from Draper, Rafalski, Williams, and another set of Kopecky's, plus the no-name PPF's.
-
Yep, but I already have the Draper Warriors. I was torn between the Williams and Rafalski Bauers though. Figured I already had a pair of Rafalski Missions so I jumped on these. Actually used a snipe deal to wait and get them. I only had entered $139 as the max I'd go. Figured if I got outbid then maybe I'd go for the Rafalski's. I'd think someone would grab those too.
-
The glove whore in me resurfaced, argh. Been eyeing some of the Bauers for a while. Got these Jason Williams gloves today. Already have the Rafalski, Draper, and Kopecky Wings gloves. I need to stop, lol.

Was out on the mountain bike for some light rides over the weekend. Felt good and I was happy that I had enough range of motion to get out of the left pedal with ease.
-
Yep. One more interesting thing I forgot to mention about the Fedorov boots. While they're the same construction and size/etc... there are subtle differences in the left and right boots in terms of appearance. I forgot to ask Justin but my guess is that these were made so Fedorov could see a couple of different looks to choose from. Mainly it's the stitching/color and some slight logo differences. Kind of cool actually.
-
Figured I'd ask the pro what the history is on my Mission inlines. Justin said in a PM that they were custom skates he had done for Fedorov and they made them as close to his Grafs as possible. Mystery solved. Thanks Justin!
-
Via the generous offer to help acquire them from another member here; UCLAhockey707.
-
Yep, pretty easy to tell they're the real deal. No top eyelet. Wish I knew the entire history of them. They're in virtually new condition. Was told they were similar to a 703/G3 in fit but the heel is a bit more open ala the 735/G35 has. Was told they were Missions dressed to look more like Grafs... others saying they were Grafs made to look like Missions. Personally I don't care. They fit very well and have the Sprung chassis I was seeking.
-
Nice looking Eastons! I had found a pair of those but already had the other Easton retros. Then once the PPF's were available it was an easy choice for me. :)
-
The Drapers are very flexible and I'd certainly be open to watching for another pair of Warriors. First time I've seen that liner myself too...
