So tested out my different insoles and the speed plates are by far the best fitting... The ccm orthomoves were kind of a disappointment.

If you go to trues youtube channel everything is on there.

Someone please. Make. It. Stop.

Repost.

I was afraid that would happen to my skates when I spot heated to alter the arches for my skates but it turned out good for me. Although I did everything with my hands and thumbs rather than a punch. I used the opposite end of a screwdriver once as well. That way the changes were gradual. I love that the skates are so stiff yet still workable when heated. The carbon areas are def a lot harder to work with than the thermoformable plastic though. The plastic heats up fast.

Getting a refund for the holder swap and extra fee for a "Sr" skate would be suffice. A full refund and a free skate... That's kind of pushing it.

I refuse to acknowledge his lengthy and redundant posts. But I guess he takes it upon himself to write a novel every reply, while copying and pasting the same things over and over. Guess he doesn't understand that part of a custom skate is to customize it to your liking. Ie. adding or removing the red insole for increased or decreased volume and fine tuning the fit to someone's personal preference. Someone give that guy his own thread so we don't have to read his rants.

Pretty impressed. Emailed true beginning of the week for some extra red foot beds. Got them today no charge. Also in the mail... My ccm orthomoves from hockeymonkey.ca for only 33 cdn. They are much stiffer at the heel than I thought. Stiffer than the superfeet yellow/carbon which I assumed they would identical to.

Ya, so they are now using what was only on the goalie skates before. But now on both skates.

Seriously what is wrong with you.? All I said was that I know my skates holders are aligned properly. I haven't had any issues and I would have noticed if they were off set since I've been skating on neutral placed holders prior. Initially I thought you were complaining about rivets that weren't seated flush. So when I was looking at the pictures I didn't see any crooked rivets. Now that I know you're talking about the holders being not centred, I still don't see it. The pics you're judging my skates off of aren't taken dead on and you can see more of the medial side of the skate. Mind you regardless, I'm telling you that the midline of the holders line up with the midline of the heel and toe box. I'm not asking you what you think because I'm the one that has the skates in front of me. And like I said before, the skates are asymmetrical like ur foot. It isn't going to have the exact same amount of boot to either side of the holder. There may be a reason why true didnt correct this "rivet issue". Maybe because there isn't one. The length is obviously off, and even the heel pocket. But if you're saying the holders are off centre and that mine are because they both are mounted the same, then you're wrong. Here's pics or other skates when I googled bottom of ice skates. According to you, I guess all these skates have mismounted holders. https://goo.gl/images/5JxCEe https://goo.gl/images/qJqqow https://goo.gl/images/zvY5c4 https://goo.gl/images/AwcFKN https://goo.gl/images/uyuVbU Anyways I'm not gonna bother reading or replying your future messages. I'm happy with my skates and there aren't any holder alignment issues with them. Hope you get your issues resolved... The ones that are there at least.

Yours is the third I've seen so far in the last week or so on Instagram.

Very nice. Im digging the all white laces. I guess true has gone to only only holder now and putting what used to be the goalie holder on player skates now too, which makes more sense. Why make two diff holders... And yours do look a lot more polished than some I've seen.

Pics !! 😁. But ya the tan clarino is something id ask for on a second pair and it's super annoying that wasn't done... I'd shoot them an email to ask why that didn't happen...

All arches collapse and feet pronate to a certain degree when bearing weight. Some more than others. Both of mine probably do but my right def does more than the left. Never noticed any issues with the left but thanks for the insight.

No idea what you're talking about but my skates are not misaligned and from the pics yours don't look like it either. The Gap in the back of the holder where it meets the heel on your skate are normal. It's because the shape of the heel isn't completely flat. Your rivets looks flush to me. All copper rivets will confirm to the shape where it's being pressed onto. It's copper. The only way to tell if ur holders are off is to compare the mid line of the holder to the respective toe box and or heel. U cant just look at the bottom of the skate and say it is or isn't because of how much room there is to each side. The skates are not symmetrical. As for the size it's obviously too long. But it looks like ur super feet are trimmed pretty short and from the pics it looks like your heel is a bit too far back on the heel cup but that could just be the angle. If it's too long then it's too long and the fact they used toe plugs shows they are too long. The width seems similar to what mine were and the heel cup is bigger on my trues than my Bauer's. Like I said in my earlier post, when I got my skates unbaked they felt huge wide wise. When I baked them they felt nice and snug. The tongue is also pretty thick and takes up a bit of volume too. Either way they should be remaking the boot solely on the length issue... But honestly man I don't see any issues either the hold er and rivets, and theres nothing wrong with mine either.

With the inconsistencies I've been reading, if I had a perfect fit from a scan if stick with that.... I wouldn't risk having a scan that was slightly different for whatever reason.

Still contact them but wearing once... Sounds like u reefed on the laces during the heat moulding.

They have a six mth warranty. Use it.

As mentioned in my lengthy post above me pictures, my right foot pronates when bearing weight during a lunge. It's weird. My knee totally goes inward instead of staying lined up with my ankle and my arch completely collapses. Never affected my skating though oddly... So no I never noticed. I just always noticed doing lunges felt odd on my right side but I always just attributed it to my left being my stable side because I'm right handed in throwing, batting etc and use my left to plant down. I'm going to start doing balance exercises to see if it's an ankle strength thing...

U said u downloaded imgur right? Upload the pics onto it... Then go to those pics. Click the share button, then choose the copy to clipboard options. Then paste it into the insert from url option.

Also here are a few pics.... One year update showing that they are still holding up very well. No eyelet issues or anything breaking down. No tendon guard issues. No cuts. No liner issues. Mind you the skates have only been used about 50 games. But at this rate they will last me at least another two years.

So I finally got BOTH my skates dialed in... I'll try to keep it as short as possible regarding my initial issues with my skates. - Got my skates in November 2017 - baked them at my lhs and they fit great. But noticed some sloppiness in my right skate / heel area vs my left that was locked in but had minor arch ache. - left arch ache went away when cut out arch area of red insole. Used superfeet yellow from day one - tried using stock true insoles but right skate fitment still not there and found them way too spongey. Rebaked right boot a couple times and even clamp method on heel. No dice. - removed red footbeds altogether and rebaked tongues to remove the creases from all the baking. Helped quite a bit and lived with this setup until early this month. - Realized my right arch collapsed when bearing weight and alignment of my knee when lunging caused pronation and flat arch. Realized I was scanned doing this hence the right boot made for someone with flat feet = eureka moment!! - stumbled upon old mlx vids and heating the arch. So I did that and it worked. Created a higher arch in the right boot. Yes!!!! - put speed plates in and the right was locked in and felt the best, however the left skate with speed plates caused some noticeable arch pain. So used the same method to reduce the arch a touch. Outcome is two skates with speedplates that fit friggen awesome!! I've only used them walking around the house and yet to test it on the ice but it's the best the skates have felt since I finally realized what had to be tweaked. This whole time I thought it was the heel lock but it was the arch. I will also see how they feel with the ccm orthomoves that I have coming in the mail as well. I will be testing out the following insoles to see which feel the best; Speedplates, superfeet yellow carbon, superfeet yellow, ccm orthomoves, also with and without the red insoles. I have a feeling the speedplates may be the best since I had to alter the arches on my skates and I feel that the speedplates will "fill in" any spots that I didn't perfectly modify since I was more or less guessing the exact area for my arch that needed increasing/reducing. I even re examined my arches when bearing weight and my right arch is actually higher than my left when I ensure my alignment is correct and prevent my arch from collapsing.. this is also noticeable when I look at the shape of my moulded speed plates. So for me, my skate issues aren't bc of true, it's really no one's fault. If I were to get re scanned I would make sure my right ankle and knee are aligned properly so the scan doesn't show a collapsed arch. I truly believe if I had known my right ankle caused such bad pronation, then I don't think I'd ever have any issues from the get go. The left skate arch was tolerable and was something that went away from regular play but bc I now play once every two weeks now adays, it would come and go here and there. So yes I've done a bit of tinkering and will be experimenting with diff insoles too but that's the beauty of these skates. You can modify do much to satisfy your personal preference. I'm just glad I know now what caused a something I'll fitting right skate in the beginning. Length has always been perfect for me. Both toes barely brush the toe cap.

I'm not trying to be condescending but how long have you been using the internet for? To insert a picture, yes create a new post..... Don't know why you're getting l personal/emotional about Jrs post. I didn't find it demeaning at all. I think we are all wondering why it's been so long with no pictures.

I was curious because of the diverse replies .. thanks.
