I just called HockeyGiant in Anaheim, CA and the guy I talked to said they weren't getting their stuff for "three more weeks." I don't know about that.....there seems to be only a handful of guys there who know what they're talking about.

Mission skates (not 10000) pants and girdles arrived at my warehouse today. I was there and unloaded the stuff. Didn't look at it as I had a meeting with the owner.

JR, did you get a chance to check out the Thorax girdle? Does it look better or equal in terms of protection to the 10000 or D1?

The knee straps on the pants are beautiful! I proposed that idea a few years ago and lo and behold... It sure beats the "sockey pants" look sported by many roller players.

I'm finally excited about a new Mission line since splurging on Wicked Lites until my carbon chassis broke. Great work with the new skates! Looks like a combination of VSi and Wicked Lites.

you can possibly wear them without your feet hurting.. maybe you can wear them loose so they break in a little or bake them.. ive had bad experiences with baking skates though

If you have no other skates that fit, then wear them. But you're bound to come across some pain/rubbing/pressure points by just wearing new skates for the first time.

yes...

Now everyone go buy new skates, gloves, pants, and girdles so I can keep my job....

I'll be picking up a thorax and a pair of 10000 pants for sure. Probably not until after christmas, I've dropped about 45 pounds the last few months, but I want to drop a little more before I invest in new stuff.

Off topic...

Stupid question but what did you do to lose that much? I'm looking to lose about 30 and I know the obvious anwsers are diet and exercise but any specifics?

Diet and excercise :) Seriously, about 4 months ago, I just started a routine. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week where I usually do about 30 minutes of cardio, sit ups for a few minutes and weights for another 45 minutes. I have pretty much stopped eating fast food and watch what i eat, but otherwise I'm not on some wacky diet.

Has that improved your hockey much?

I need to drop some also but I'm trying to find the discipline to do it.

I feel quicker, which gives me more confidence to do things with the puck. I am a defensive denfenseman in the strictest sense of the word. I think I am a pretty good defenseman, and hard to beat one on one, but I'll have to start working more on the other part of my game.

I have a question-

i got my 7500 skates and one of the front wheels is a bit loose so i tryed to tighten it but it was tightned as much as it could be. Ive tryed taking the wheel off and putting it back on and that didnt work. But dont get me wrong these skates are AWESOME

Is there a way i could fix the problem?

EE is only available in the 10000 and 5500...Are lower skates are also built on a wider last...

As for the wheel, if the bolt is all the way tightened, then the wheel may have a slight click...Every wheel company has small variances in their hubs, which may cause a click...It is not big deal and has no effect on your skating...

Has anyone been able to get a pair of He 10000 skates yet? I have ordered a pair from Hockey Giant and every time I ask them when they will ship they are unsure. I see that EPuck has all the skates but the 10000 in stock already. Thanks. :(

Need some information.

Should be getting my 9500s today and my town does not have mission bake oven what precautions should I take, and do I need to take off the wheels?

The front wheel on my 95000s wasn't spinning properly. I noticed the spacer was pushing the bearing out a little bit. So what I had to do was take a dremel too, and grind a little bit of the hub out that the bearing sits on. Once I did that, the wheel spins perfectly.

This is not the first time I have had to home-modify a wheel.

As Justin mentioned, some companies have inconsistencies in their product. I have been lucky, when something happend, I have been able to work the problem out myself.

What's with the huge gap in prices from the 9500 to 1000? Are there alot of reasons to justify it? I can't imagine it being able to outperform not only the 9500, but also the Code-1 and other companies top of the line skates to justify that. Obviously this is purely speculation on my point having not tried it, but I find it hard to believe the 1000 is that good.

I take it you mean the 10000...

However, arent EACH of the wheels on the 10000 $20 a pop?? I think thats the whole pricing difference right there. Not to mention the other upgrades in the boot, bearings, chassis and such.
