i was looking at ordering under armour socks made for foot ball and was wondering if they would work good for hockey or is there something better

I use Pear Sox sanitary sock. They're cheap and work pretty well.

I don't wear any usually, LOL. When I used to I would go to Zellers and buy a bag of like 30 pairs and them keep the bag in my hockey bag, use once then dispose off...

I wear nike dri-fit short. They feel like nothing, yet keep it comfortable rather than the barefoot.

I wear a pair of soccer socks for hockey, the same that Bayern Munchen wear (white and red stripes). They are great as I pull them up over my shin pads to keep that bottom section just a tad more tighter than what they are normally.

When I was a kid and playing just Inline I used to pull my Bayern socks up over my pants and skate around Ice style..... I was such a freak'n dork! ;)

i normally use regular socks but a guy at my lhs is helping me get my skates to stop hurting me and he gave me a pair of these "vapour thin" socks ,i think theyre made by "first star" ,i had them on in the store and i liked them

I use Nike Athletic Socks, they work pretty well, when I take my feet out of my skates they're still pretty dry but probably not as dry as if it had Dri-Fit.

I've always went with a pair of medium weight crew length socks on the inside with a pair of almost knee-high thicker weight socks on the outside. I just prefer that ultra-snug fit in my skates (but if I sized my skates a half-size smaller, they'd be too tight.)

I have tried the UnderArmour knee-high socks but don't really care for them because they almost feel too "slick". If they are my inside sock, the outer sock slides around too much. If they are my outer sock, it feels like my skate is too loose.

On a side note, I still have them, black color, size LG, used once and washed...will sell, PM if interested.

Any thin, moisture wicking sock should do the trick. Personally I use knee highs as I prefer to have something that I easily wash between my equipment and my skin.

I wear UA socks. Hard to find them in my size with my Size 6 shoes and 5'9 frame though...

I use Salming's CoolFeel Team Socks. I had always used thicker cotton socks, and the sales manager from Sweden kept telling me I should try the Teamsocks, but I kept thinking to myself, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're a pair of socks?!?...."

Well, one day I ran out of clean "hockey socks," so I remembered I had some samples of the Team Socks. Wow, what a difference. My feet used to always feel overheated after playing, but now they're cool afterward. I had never used wicking garments before, but it makes sense if you think about. Instead of the cotton material collecting the sweat and effectively holding in the heat, the microfibers in the socks wick away the perspiration/heat.

I'll be receiving my shipment of the Teamsocks soon and I was told by retailers at Vegas that our prices were significantly lower than many of the bigger names. I'd be willing to give MSH members a discount with the express intention that, if you like them, you ask your LHS to carry them.

I own OXYSOX but when i skate with them i dont have the right feeling to be honest.

I like to skate with tennis socks or no socks at all.

i wouldn't get the one for football, get the longer one but for work out, its really thing and wicks sweat better than any other ua socks

i know b/c i have many diff pairs of ua sox

another option is all sport, its thicker at hte bottom though

I have the Adult S-M for UA, I just fold them down a bit and they are ok. I'm getting some Synergy socks tomorrow because my UA got raped today, this kids skate blade cut them.
