First Ever Sticks

Recommended Posts

Well, there's been lots of talk about the latest and the greatest, but I don't believe we've talked about the first much. I'm just curious, can anyone remember the first stick they've ever owned. Time to take a walk down memory lane!!

My first stick was a Sher-wood. Don't remember what model, but it was black and with green writing, and was bought from Canadian Tire I'm pretty sure....

Mine was a white TSM 8. Forgot the brand though. Whippiest stick I ever used.

I think that was a Titan Selanne model. If so, I had a few of those too.

My first stick was handed down from my uncle, a CCM something-Jet (not Golden Jet!) with Bobby Orr's sig stamped on it.

First new stick was a Koho Euro-something with "fibreglass technology". :P

Can't remember my first stick (sometimes I can't remember what happened last week), but I do remember playing minor hockey with some Northland (did I get that name right?) woodies. Man those things were light...

My first stick was /is a Sher-Wood 5030 SC, that was given to me.

The first stick I bought myself is a Vector 120 shaft with a wooden Sakic Blade.

My 3rd stick is a Stealth with a Modano.

A Jofa Titan 7500 with a 1/2 mid-curve (the one with the A.S.D shaft). I still have it but it's only been 3 years (got a late start in playing). One of the better woodies I've seen and used. It's still in relatively good shape.

A Wally stick, can't remember the model - in fact they may have only made one model! I also has an orange Artis with a blue plastic-like blade with a wood laminate over it early in my playing days. If I could find either one of them I'd buy them in a heartbeat, just for sentimental reasons.

I also remember getting a white Canadien stick from my uncle. It had a fish-skin like wrap over the hosel and blade - the thickest blade I'd ever seen.

Titan TPM2.

Red with white lettering. I went home last Christmas, and was looking through the shed...and behold, there is was! Almost in perfect condition!

We talking like what...1980 - 1982 here?! I really wanted to take it outside and slap a few pucks around with it, but I thought it might break - it appeared to have dried out quite abit over the years in that shed...

my first stick was one of those black, yellow, and white koho revolution wooden sticks, the ones lemieux used way back when. it was a senior stick too, so it was pretty much cut in half to fit me.

Dang this bring me back.

It was an easton blue aluminum with easton euro curve blade. The funny thing was i didn't know you could cut sticks so i played with it the stock height.

My first stick was 6 or 7 years ago, I had two Nike Woodies, but I loved them, I think I used 5 of them before I ever went to a different stick...I used em for roller, ice, street, I loved em

Bauer classic something or other with a lindros pattern. I remember cause it was my fist time ever skating with gear and I hated how the blade looked so huge cause the stick was cut down so much.
