I know that there is some hype around the new bauer skate, reebok pump new mission. Has anyone heard of whats going on with the vector line?

i think that since rbk bought them that they are not gonna make anymore vectors and focus on the rbk stuff but thats just what i think

ccm and rbk are different products all together so the vector boots will still be made because there is that desire for those skates. its like bauer and nike, everybody thought nike wuld gas bauer but they wont.also the vector boots are different materials than the rbks

No shorter life than every Bauer model, every year. :-)

Still, I haven't heard that about the new tacks. I've been selling quite a bit of the 492 and 692's, they are nice and look great. If the rumor is true, sad, but glad I'm not overstocked, because I can't compete with the "isellhockeyequipmentoutofmygarage.com's" when they blow out the prices.

Tacks skates are not being dropped from the line.

There will be a new Vector skate series, more details to follow.

That is the rumor I heard..If it is true or not, I don't know...I thought it looked good...Nice and classic..

I was really impressed with them at the show. They looked a lot better than some of the previous models.

I like the way the Mission guy tells everyone that "Tacks are done." and the CCM guy has to post a denial. Maybe Justin can tell us what Easton's plans are for Synergy skates........ Oh, Justin later qualified his fact as a rumor...........Anymore facts, uh rumors you would like to share......

Notice the fact he also complimented them. There are always rumors floating around, some are true and others aren't. If someone is talking about stuff that isn't their own, always take it with a grain of salt.

Best skates period. Build up your leg muscles if you need lighter skates. Just saying that it seems like everyone's focused on making skates weigh like 3 oz. as opposed to making a solid skate.

yeah old skool skates rock! id much prefer a heavier skate, that would last a while and take some abuse, over the lightest skate on the market that'll break within a few months!

when you compare a solid skate with a lighter one you can notice the difference, but when your playing you dont think about it!

its all because of the ''light = Good'' hype we get from the advertising!

like i know its their job and they have to do it, but how about an option, a high end light skate, and a high end durable skate!

CCM should turn these skates into an 8090 fighter IMO, i'd buy them just because they look so nice and classic. of course, i'd like to put lightspeeds on them and a carbon sole wouldn't hurt.

I used to always want a pair of those w/ some made up specs.

like the outsole would be comp. or carbon but still white, and the nylon would be reinforced w/ kevlar weave, black of course.

Either way, I"d take'em just as is please.
