Best Shaft (shooting wise)

Recommended Posts

I been looking into many different shafts lately and i can not conclude which shafts give me a better shot. I kno its practise and skill but is their any shaft on the market that helps enhance ur shot? I am looking into the inno 1100 but many ppl say it has good feel and is durable and some dont like its perfomance shot wise and others say it tourques, with all these concerns regarding a sahft i decided to try looking a bit further........... so now i need to kno what shaft enchances my shot.

personally my Z-bubble grip in 85 flex was great, i could really rip some shots with it... oh yea haveing a Z-carbon with the focus flex really gives it a kick on your shots

Novius and Z-Bubble Grip are the best I have found for raw velocity. I haven't really noticed the torque with the 1100 but I use very stiff sticks in general.

I think it's all PP at this point. I shoot a lot better with something like an A/C or Grip Lite or UL than I do a tapered shaft.

I switched from my XN10 to my zbubble with a shaved down syNergy blade. The thing is almost half the weight of the XN10, sure its 4 inches shorter, but the stick launches rockets. Im using a stick thats right at my chest, awsome for stick hadeling, not much reach tho, naturally

maybe you can give Bauer Vapor 8 a shot. Its double concave and convex shaft has given me a better shot compared to normal box shape shafts.

Best Shaft shooting-wise for me was the Inno 1100(220 flex). But I can also rip 'em with my Novius(260), Z-Bubble Grip(110), and T-Flex(100). I prefer the stiffer shafts though, I shoot harder with them.

for me it was a Response shaft with a wood T-flex blade in it. The BAuer TFG was the best standard hosel shaft for me.

Just for shooting, I'd go with the M-2. For an all around shaft, I'd say the TFG. The Inno shafts are right up there as well.

i'm a big fan of the novius, though this red lite xn10 is pretty good too. the novius has a lot of kick to it, so it's got the edge in my book.

I have been using a Whip flex XN10 Redlight with a Focus Flex Lidstrom blade for about a month now and i am very happy with it. It took some time to get used to the whip flex and the shaft is a bit slick so i had to put some tape down the shaft. Overall i would say that it is the best non-tapered shaft i have used.

m-2 , do i ever say anything different?

I really dig my M-2 Pro Grip shafts (not like the M-2 retail shafts - more like a blue L-2 with grip coating). I find my shot velocity and accuracy has increased on wristers and snap shots over using a non-tapered shaft. It's slightly easier to clear the puck off the glass or boards, too. Unfortunately, it is a tapered shaft but if the M-2 retail shaft is anywhere near the quality and performance then it would be a good choice.

Practice and training will do much more for your shot than a shaft will... but I think it's really just preference. Make sure your shaft isn't too whippy or too stiff for your style, make sure it's the right length, but other than that, probably not too much noticeable difference between models/styles.

*edit*... I have 4 different shafts, an original Z-Bubble 85, a TriCore XF, a Mission Flyweight Ether 10-7 tapered, and an Inno 1100 Polarfibre (broken pro OPS). I like 'em all, don't really notice much difference though.

For a less expensive shaft I think the TPS Red Lites are awesome sticks. For a more expensive shaft I'd have to go with the Red Lite XN10.

i agree red lite a sweet shafts. pritty cheap too.

i think it all in your head...nothing would really give you a better shot(well okay...maybe 5% better) I mean...i do get a R2XN10 becaus eit was suppose to shot rocket...well i dont shot better with it than my Z-buble or my CYCLONE...or my L-2...it all mental

When your looking for a shaft...look for the price, the handle, the grip, Weight!!! take it for what it worth!!

As for your question! i would like to try a :

1.Vapor X(nice grip...never tried a BAuer shaft...)

2.RBK 5k(light,,snake grip and 100CND for a shaft it REALLY CHEAP!)

3.Vector 110(man,i think it the most durable thing out there!)

4.INNO(but there no inno in quebec)

As for the shaft i tried..i would say Z-BUBBLE last me 1 year..playing contact league 5 hours per week...GREAT BALANCE!!

Inno 1100 tapered shaft, but for standard hosel I've always been a big fan of the Griplites.

didn't want to start a new topic, but ya, I definately think I'm gonna get a new UL grip. I was thinking to put an rbk 5k in, any other suggestions (within an affordable pricerange)
