disappointing equipment?

Recommended Posts

pro stock ccm ht2/652 domes are a different story, atleast the ones ive seen had padding like bauer 4000s, i think the itech hc95 pro stock would be nice

im also bummed that no one makes a retail extra long high end ops or shaft, im 6-4

im another one a little dissapointed by the Xn10. i hated the blade feel and the curve wasnt really to my liking either, so i pulled the blade out and have a pro stock tapered blade in there now i love it.

I was disappointed with the Mission M-2 pants that I wore for a short while. They were an upgrade over the 652 Tacks (which were terrible, but I didn't know any better at the time) I had at the time, but I never really liked the fit of them at all because of the wide thighs. I bought them since several on this board recommended them, but it wasn't that big of a deal that they weren't for me since they weren't that expensive. It's funny because the M-2 shoulders I wear are great.

Other than that, I haven't really had issues with any of my equipment. Fittings done at my LHS, yes, but the actual equipment, no.

I think 63" is the maximum stick length in the NHL,so CCM produces their OPS to be at that maximum. Therefore that is the biggest shaft/stick you will ever get unless you get some custom OPS/Shaft made.

Just look for Easton 120 flexes, they're longer.

I liked the Jofa 7000 wood stick with ABS blade. They stopped selling the 7000 at Sportchek so I bought the 7500. Worse buy ever. I hate how thick the blade is.

Mission D1c roller skates ,went through 4 pairs in four months. Bauer Vapor X shaft radius was too thin and the shaft was non-responsive. CCM 852 gloves, think I was still getting brusing from the top of the glove 8 months on. CCM Vector 110, when it went dull it went DULL!

Synergy ST, hated the feel and I couldn't hit the net with it. I liked my synthesis w/synthesis woody alot more. I was also kind of disapointed with my Hex-1. I bought one for a good deal hoping it would feel similiar to a flyweight but the fkyweight beats it in all categories. Hex-1 is a decent stick though, and the blade gives a lot of pop on shots, but its just not the same as a flyweight.

Helium gloves. The palms lasted all of 2 1/2 months...

I have to agree, although I love the feel it is a shame the palms wore out so fast, and I don't play all that often so I was surprised they were shot in less than a year.

Reebok 5K w/Snake Grip shaft - Does it actually have a specific flex point anywhere???

Since it is a standard shaft it is engineered to have constant flex throughout the length of the shaft. The flex point ends up being where your lower hand is.

Mine held up for 11 months and they were my primary glove for 10 of those months. I could still fix them if I really wanted but it's a good excuse to buy new ones.
