My iPod won't turn on. I've tried everything. Putting it on the charger, resetting it. Nothing's working. HELP?!?!?!!

Putting it on the charger, resetting it. Nothing's working.

The screen does nothing. It's not on lock. I put it on my dining room table today at like, 3:00, went to pick it up 20 minutes ago and it doesn't work. No one touched it, and I'm starting to get really angry.

Okay...

Just got a new computer (Dell desktop). I am having issues trying to transfer my songs from my iPod to iTunes on the new computer - through my extensive difficulties, I assume this can't be done. I ask you fine, knowledged folks how in the Hell I can get my playlists from my old computer to the new one (without removing the hard drives, if at all possible).

try restoring it... i had to do that to mine.

After you have tried all of the troubleshooting it is time to restore your iPod to factory settings.

Connect your iPod to your computer.

Quit iTunes.

Open the current iPod Updater. You can download the latest iPod Updater from the iPod support site.

Use the Restore option in iPod Updater. You will see an alert message that asks you to confirm this choice. This will restore your iPod to the factory settings, erasing all information on your iPod.

During the restore, your iPod will un-mount, and a progress indicator will be displayed on your iPod.

When your iPod is finished restoring quit the updater, and launch iTunes.

You will be asked to name your iPod, and confirm the settings.

When you are done, click the eject button next to the iPod in the iTunes source list.

remember you will lose all your songs/photos/vidoes off your ipod.

Got another question. Does anyone know if my problem will be covered under warranty, and they'll replace mine?

Off the top of my head I think it's a one-year deal. There's a plan you can buy with them I think, but I stick with the Best Buy deal.

Yeah I know it's a year long thing. I entered my serial number in the support site and it said I had 190 days left, last night. But I wasn't sure if this problem was covered or not.

Sounds like their problem to me, take it to an Apple shop if you have. That's why I stick with the Best Buy plan because they'll give me a new one right off the bat.

Do you know of any other stores that have something like that? CompUSA to be exact? Cause I think that's where mine was bought. I got it as a Christmas present so I'm not 100% sure.

Burn the songs to CD's or buy a flash drive/memory stick and save your songs to that. In your new computer, upload them.

Get a program that will copy songs from you're ipod back to the computer.

PodPlayer does that pretty well, and its free.

his problem is getting the songs from ipod to itunes, your solution will not work. And you wouldnt upload them to your computer, you would downlaod them.
