I just got a new iPod touch in a trade with someone. I was wondering how I get my itunes on this ipod now since my itunes is already set up for my old ipod? I really need some help here this is frustrating me.

you should just be able to plug it in if you have the newest version of itunes.

Make sure you use the usb cable that came with the touch and that you are using a usb 2.0 port on your computer.

you can have up to 5 different ipods on one itunes account

So, I picked up a Touch a couple weeks ago, and when I turned it on the first time, it showed a fully charged. I've gone through a charge once, and re-charged it. I know they advertise 22 hours of audio playback life, but it seems to be burning a charge really quickly.

Did I screw my Touch by not charging it fully first? I thought it had a full ife, and I didn't read anything that said charge first, mind you what came with it was very vague.

Yeah, and I have the wifi "ON" even if I'm not using it. I did some reading, adn think I may be running "hot" and wasting some power.

what about equalizer? i know my 5th gen eats up batteries when i turn on the eq.

They do for about the first 5-10 charges. What I've always done and been told to do is make sure the battery's completely depleted for the first 5-10 charges otherwise the cells that didn't need charging are dead forever.

what do you mean? Are you saying the jailbreaking proccess didnt work for you where you go to jailbreakme.com on the touch and download the program? There are multiple firmwares now and only the original 1.1.1 version uses that very easy method i stated. Others require some reading and, programs. For more info just go to ipodtouchfans.com B)

OKay...maybe I'm just dumb...I'll admit that...but where the hell is this feature I've read about "Show album art on ipod". I've got songs in my Library that show album art when I view them in itunes, but when I transfer to my Touch...the album art doesn't carry over. I've read that you need to select "Show album art" from the ipod menu in itunes, but I can't find it.

I've also got 2 songs from the same album that are listing separately. On the Touch they list song and album...and when you flip the listing only one song is shown from that album...when I know I loaded 2 songs from that album.

1. When you have the iPod connected, go to the music tab of the summary and check the artwork box

2. In iTunes highlight both songs and click on get info. Then make sure that artist , album artist, and album title are all identical

So, I connected my iPod last night...and the icons looked different than normal...I clicked on "My iPod" and no songs were listed...so I re-synced it...and *voila* I have album art now.

Go figure!

Really depends what your needs are. I only have about 3gb of music, no pictures and no videos so the 8gb Touch was already more than enough.

I don't think those get enough love. I'm an admitted Apple whore but I love just being able to keep that in my pocket in case I want to listen to music. Like at board meetings.

I have one as well and they are underrated. They keep a fair amount of music and for being a little bigger than a quarter you can't go wrong.
