Done as a shot at Andy Murray and the way he went about things. Considering all of the other high school tactics he used, him making the players do pushups wouldnt suprise me at all.

At West Point football games, after Army scores all the freshmen cadets run down out of the stands into the end zone area and do push ups. It is an Army tradition at home games.

I don't know all the shananigans that Murray pulled behind the scenes, but he has been a winning coach, and seems to me that of all people, Avery could use some more discipline.

Then again, maybe he was just getting warmed up for his after-game night with his woman, Elisha. Hell, I'd be doing pushups on the ice too.

I believe that Air Force does the same after they score.

They do it at the Navy football games also.

I actually don't really have problem with it. You brought up a good point..or throw in Theo Fleury sitting on his stick like a witch's broom or sliding all the way down the ice.

My problem is that it's directed at X coach Murray. That's just not cool. It's an embarrassment.

Mocking someone for taking a dumb retaliation penalty is fine with me. I love to see spontaneous outbursts of exuberance, it's the planned or scripted shit that bugs me.
