Malkin Video

Recommended Posts

This is a really, really nice video....but, imagine we make a video of Ovechkin or Crosby's best plays, how good would that be?? This gives an idea of the player but not the real deal.

BTW, i'm a metal fan and i LOVED this song, anyone know who was that? I almost never listen to goth metal but that song really souded good.

That Guy knows how to drive the net allright.

And i know he scrafices his body on alot of his plays.

But why does he end up on his ass all the time?

nice video. I watched this kid all through the Olympics and was impressed with him. He seems to make a lot of power moves to get the job done where Ovechkin is just too smooth for most. He reminds me more of a North American player than a Russian.

Great video, been wanting to see a good Malkin video for a long time.

He led the notoriously low-scoring Russian Superleague in points this season, something even AO didn't do.

Pittsburg's got a good chance at going somwhere (no pun intended), in the next coulpe of seasons.

They got Fluery, Crosby & Malkin through high draft picks + the nr.2 pick this season.

If they drafted Kessel, which they won't since D is a problem, they would have 3 of the 4 most hyped youngsters in the last coulpe of seasons.

terrible music, but a sick video. Hes too big for his skill level. Kinda looks goofy sometimes.

Depending on whether they play together or not it may be a modern day Gretzky/Kurri. A little too hyped by saying that, but you never know. If they click, they would be deadly.

Perhaps I didn't watch the video close enough, or just haven't seen enough of his play, but at no time did he look "goofy" to me.

I saw him and AO in the World Juniors a few years ago, and thought Malkin was consistently the better overall player than Ovechkin. IMHO of course.

oh, hes good, but he looks too tall for the moves he pulls off. It is just odd. Its not a bad thing. Most players that play his type of game are about a foot shorter. He has the size of Lindros with the skill of Bure, an interesting hybrid.

Those Russians sure love to score. I can't remember who said it, but during the lockout one of the North American guys playing over there said something like they'd shoot their Grandmothers if it meant they could score a hat trick that night?

By the way, does any equipment manufacturer have Malkin signed?

He's good, very good. I can see hmi being a very good nhl'er in the next years. He looks to be more complete than AO. I still think Crosby will be the best of the bunch, but Malkin's impressive.

If you compare those three big names to past heroes, my comparisons would be the following:

Crosby- Gretzky type of player, just pure hockey sense and talent

Malkin- Lemieux, big, strong and smooth

Ovechkin- Maybe a Pat LaFontaine type of player, but bigger and more physical.

Wow, Excellent video. I've never seen him play outside the olympics and he can definitely put it to the Russian league guys. We'll see if he can pull off all those moves in the NHL. Seems like when people try similar moves like he did in that vid, they just get put on their rear ends.

For most of the video there isn't anyone within 10 feet of him. The guy can skate but there's some piss-poor defense being played.

Yeh the Defence didnt seem that botherd just one side step and he was gone but on hockeydb it says he is 6'2" and when i watched that he looked at least 6'5" unless the russian players are smaller?
