I don't live in a big city, and our pro AHL Flames moved on a few years ago. We now have a 2nd year QMJHL franchise called the Sea Dogs. A struggling franchise, but our young defense will be the best junior blueline in the world in another two years. Keep an eye on young Yann Sauve in the '08 draft, an awesome kid.

Canucks (NHL) Giants (WHL), plus a ton of Jr. A teams inc. the Surrey Eagles where Scott Gomez played.

I live in Langley which is quite close to where the new Chilliwack Bruins will be playing (WHL).

Up until July this year San Diego had an ECHL team, the Gulls. Most successful pro sports franchise in San Diego's history and they folded like a cheap taco :(

On the plus side, I have a bunch of really nice Gulls jerseys and shirts that I bought for REAL cheap!

There are 4 rinks in S.D. county but none of them have REAL pro teams, mostly beer league/juniors.

Right now I live in Moncton, so the Wildcats(QMJHL), the Aigles Bleus(University) and the Gagnon Beavers(Junior A). But my hometown Edmundston doesn't have any major teams that you could say. We are hopping to maybe next land a Q team in the next couple of years because we are supposed to start building this new multifonctional facility with a new arena in it with a capacity of 4000, construction should start next spring and maybe the arena would be ready for the 2008 season.

We had a pro team here about ten years ago, the Snow Cats. They played maybe five games total before the league folded. Seeing that none of the players ever got a single paycheck, I don't know if you can call it professional either. Every team besides Eugene had the same players who just wore different jerseys. The whole deal was a complete joke, but at least I can say that I've seen Link Gaetz in person.

Got the Blue Jackets, and we also got the Junior Blue Jackets, a USHL team. Think there was a Junior A team, the Crush, don't remember if they still in town or not. Used to have the Columbus Chill of the ECHL, they're defunct now. They tried to revive an ECHL team here I think two years ago, and they never got their checks either like the poster above mentioned.

Right now, my town is currently devoid of pro hockey. My hometown has the Kwings of the UHL. And I also have seen Link Gaetz in person. He played in Kalamazoo way back in the day before his "problems"with authority figures.
