Pro stock mission blades

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if any of the RH blades they have are close to a modano retail? I want a standard Mission comp. blade and this is the only way I can obtain one.

I almost got a deadmarsh as well, I've been regretting selling the first one I got. I might be up for a trade depending on how I like the Lang curve(you know how picking curves based on pictures is). I'll let you know within a day or so of getting my blades... Which should be next thursday or so.

BTW this Deadmarsh curve is different(in a good way) then the one I got the first go around:

Shit. Just...shit. When the shafts I ordered come in I'm pretty much assured I'll be living on a friend's couch as it stands.

They're just a christmas gift from the little one. ;) He can't shop on his own yet but that's what he wanted you to have.

The Jedi mind trick doesn't work on her either =( For a Southern girl she's quick to see thru my horrible logic.

The Lang isn't as straight as I'd hoped. I took the pic with my offhand, here's one with the curve a bit more centered

That older Deadmarsh is pretty nice. I'm mainly looking for curves with as little depth as possible, no matter location. Light to a little heel rocker, slightly open, 1/4" curve with a semi-square toe in a 5.75-6.25 lie. My Montreal Standard is pretty close to that, but with a closed face and the flex is too high for me at 90, so this Lang is going in the 70 AK27 I get. Not sure how I feel about the 266 yet. It's about as deep as the Lang, but in a shorter, taller blade with a touch more open. I guess I really won't know just how much I like them until they're on the ice.

My deadmarsh has got to go though, too much rocker, slightly too low in lie (though I suck at telling numbers), and too deep in mid/mid-heel.

The composite ones I had were just unreal. Super stiff, very thin, and super durable, they were just something else, best blades Ive ever used. Mine weigh about what the other low end blades weigh, nothing special there.

Never used one, so I cant comment. Just keep in mind, that these blades will be specific player to player, and some of them will be a bit thicker, or softer according the player's likeness.

Just called there and said they were able to send the mission pro stock shafts over the border so I am getting a 85 L2 and a 90 Hex 1, with 4 composite (Backman, Niinimaa x2, and a drake) and 6 woodies (2x Niinimaa, Bouwmeester, Sauer, Foster, and a Mara) all standard.

Agreed, great blades. Now that I'll be getting more I don't have to worry about breaking them... Looks like the tapered shafts are getting back in the rotation. Weight was anywhere from 130-160ish grams, the hull might have been slightly lighter.

If you want to talk about a quality blade these are top notch, there's a reason why on the 2nd go around I bought 5 Mission blades off the bat. I already have 4 sitting around or in shafts... When I start seeing more patterns I might be placing another order like I did last time.

looking for righty. anything from a modano to an iginla to a sakic curve. whats my best bet?

ditto that, but I need something with a closed face. My problem is I don't think any pro's use a Coffey clone though, lol.

Maybe try calling there and asking? Or take a gamble at what sounds good to you. Hell for the price you should be able to experiment a bit with different curves then trade them off here if you don't like them.

anyone received RH woddies in heel patterns yet? I'm looking for something close to retail Spezza or Ribiero, 5 or 5.5 lie heel open but not quite Drury corkscrew open

edit: and how tacky is the grip on the grip shafts?
